EF - RF EOS adapter,
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works seamlessly! Easy to pop on and then use your lenses like normal. No learning curve or complications really. My only complaint is that the autofocus system on the Canon EOS R seems to have some trouble when using the EF lenses, but no issues with image quality or metering. I feel that is more to do with the camera body and software than with this adapter. This let's me use my more affordable but still wonderful low aperture EF lenses; even if they work better in manual focus mode I'll take it!

Flawless Adapter. Absolutely worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Canon EF–EOS R mount adapter works exactly as advertised and then some. Autofocus is fast and accurate, image quality is uncompromised, and all electronic communication between lens and body works perfectly. My EF lenses feel completely native on my EOS R/R5/R6 body—IS, aperture control, and metadata all function flawlessly. Build quality is excellent and solid, with no play or looseness once mounted. It balances well even with heavier L-series glass and gives me total confidence shooting both photo and video. This adapter made the transition to Canon RF bodies painless and saved me from having to replace a whole lineup of lenses. If you’re moving to Canon’s mirrorless system and already own EF lenses, this adapter is an absolute must-have. Reliable, well-built, and truly seamless.

Good, affordable option with some minor problems.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Canon R6 with RF 24mm105mm F4-7.1 kit lens. The lens is okay but it feels kind of flimsy and I'm not completely happy with the result. I purchased the EF-EOS lens mount adapter so I could get some more versatility and use my EF glass, which I feel gets much better results for the type of shooting I do -- primarily live concert photography. It doesn't have the control ring but that's fine. The main thing is that it ensures your EF glass works as though it were RF glass and doesn't add a ton of weight to the camera. There are two annoying things: In order to change lenses, you have to take off the entire lens with the mount, then take the lens off. Then you have to add the new lens to the mount and put back on the camera. It's not the most efficient thing to do if you're out in the field or on a shoot. Also if you have a lens with infinity focus, that motor whirrs and buzzes endlessly for some reason or another. But you have to really be paying attention or in a quiet environment to really notice it. Besides that, so far no complaints. It's a good option to continue to use your EF glass that you already spent a ton of money on already.

Digital Producer's Review
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I primarily shoot interviews and advertisements in higher education using a Canon R6 Mark II, an older Canon 6D, and a professional Panasonic camcorder. I purchased this adapter to use my old Canon EF lenses with the R6 Mark II. Long story short, I absolutely love the new RF 24-105 lens, but I’m particularly fond of my EF 35mm f/2, and it works perfectly with this adapter. It’s also reassuring to know that the IBIS (In-body Image Stabilization) functions seamlessly with EF lenses that have IS. You can further enhance your video quality on the R6 Mark II by switching the movie stabilization to "Enhanced." This adapter is definitely worth the investment, saving me from having to buy all new gear.

Best way to use your EF Lens
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently I switch to a mirrorless camera Canon R6 Mark ii with my Canon EOS 5D Mark iv. I have different focal length of EF lenses and I didn't purchase any RF lens yet. I am using this mount adapter and I colud perfectly focus and get the same picture quality of each of my lens. I hope before buying a costly RF lens anyone can use their old EF lens with this mount adapter with a confidence.

Essential piece of kit for legacy lenses
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This adapter makes using your legacy Canon EF lenses seamless on an R6, R5 or other mirrorless Canon body. The only difference you will notice is that the lenses are slightly longer, but there is no difference in performance or sharpness. It is an essential piece of kit for those making the transition from DSLR’s to mirrorless, or those who want to use both kinds of cameras and keep their lens lineup.

Works flawlessly
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this with my Canon R6 Mark II. I upgraded from the Canon 5D Mark IV. One of the things that caused me pause when deciding to upgrade was the significant investment I had already made into EF lenses. This is where the adapter comes into play. It allows me to use my very expensive EF lenses without any issues. All functions operate exactly as they did on the 5D; this includes autofocus, stabilization, aperture control, etc etc etc. If you’re hesitant about the upgrade from the EOS line to the R line don’t be. The adapter works great to ensure your investment into EF glass is protected.

Free with camera
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used the EOS R for 10 days or so, I have over 3k exposures. I am switching from a 5d iv, I do not use it for video. Here are the things I like: -Great picture quality -Silent Shutter -Works with my 24-70 f2.8 II, 70-200 f2.8IS II and other lenses without a problem with the adapter. -Single point single shot Autofocus works great. -MOST of the time face detection with Eye detection works. -Ring on the adapter(Sold separately), I have set ut up for Aperture, I really like this even though the ring is a bit to close to the camera. -The FV mode is probably my favorite new feature. -Great battery life, not sure how they measure the battery life for the specs, but I am getting an average of 900 photos per charge. -Touch Screen as good as the 5d iv Things that I need to get used to -Touch and Drag autofocus -Multi-function bar, I have programmed it to ISO, left side ISO 100, right side ISO 3,600, it works. Things that need improvement: -Face Autofocus, it works great 90% of the time, but sometimes just decides that the hands or a chair are the face. -The touch and drag autofocus can be more responsive, meaning when I touch the screen while looking through the viewfinder the to change the focus point sometimes I need to swipe a few times to get to the point I want. I have tested different options, like mapping the screen to 1/4, to 1/2 to absolute and relative. It works but not as good as it could! -Bursts silent shooter. -More options to customize the buttons. For example, I would like to not only program the back button for Back Button Focus but to go to specify what type of autofocus (single/servo, single point or different areas, etc...) In conclusion, I am very happy with the EOS R and know that when Canon releases a firmware upgrade I will be really really happy with the camera!

Lets me use my EF lenses on the RF Body.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a bunch of EF lenses that needed to mount to the RF body. This adapter lets me do that. This adapter doesn't have the control ring, but if you want to same money, that shouldn't mater. I ended up upgrading to the control ring adapter a few days later just in case I want to use that feature later.
