Customers are enthusiastic about the EF-EOS R5, EOS R6, EOS R, and EOS RP Lens Mount Adapter for its compatibility with a wide range of EF lenses, ease of use, and affordability. It allows photographers to continue using their existing EF lenses on their new mirrorless cameras, saving them money and preserving their investment. The build quality is solid, and the adapter works flawlessly, delivering sharp images without vignetting.
While some customers find the control ring unnecessary, the overall consensus is that this adapter is a must-have accessory for photographers who want to use their EF lenses on their EOS R series cameras.

Necessary for adapting old lenses to R-mount

These are in short supply at least in early 2021. Make sure you have a reliable line on one if you expect to use your R-mount camera with older lenses, otherwise you'll be like me with a very expensive brick waiting for the adapter to arrive so you can start taking pictures! I paid for expedited shipping and Best Buy waited 2 weeks to ship it anyway. But that's a comment on Best Buy and not the item. The adapter is sturdy- I've been using it with a 150-600mm lens and no droop or light leaks. The only reason I give it "Average" value is because there are no optics in it, it is just a spacer for the EF lenses with electrical pass-through and no particular weather sealing. But once you drop $2k on a camera I guess canon figures you won't blink at $100 for an adapter like this.

I am so happy that this is a thing. I had a EF telephoto lens (that was very expensive) left from an old camera that I had sold. I wanted to upgrade to a mirrorless camera but a comparable lens would have been an additional $2500. For $100 this ring allows me to use my EF lens on my RP camera and it works great.

best investment when switching to mirrorless and looking to save money to purchase future RF lenses. $100 gets you running on mirrorless bodies with an ROI that can be made back in one shoot, as well as potentially save you money for future purchases until you're fully transitioned over.

Works well, although I wish I had purchased the version with the adjustment ring for added features, this one does the job well.

I sold my Canon EOS 60D and two lenses to get this and the EOS RP. I have two other lenses that I absolutely love to use and I'm not done with them. The fact that this came with the camera was amazing. I can still use my DSLR lenses with my mirrorless camera until I get the correct mirrorless lenses to replace those two.

I love that I got to keep my EF lenses. This adapter is all you need. It's easy to put on and easy to remove. I looked at the two other adapters and settled on this one. I don't use filters and three different wheels control the ISO, shutter speed and f stop. Very happy with my choice.

I use with my 100-400 II and have shot tennis with no issues, in fact it is way better than my 5d3 as I can now select where I want to focus anywhere in the frame! Now Canon just needs to come out with a professional R based camera that can shoot at a higher frame rate, but overall very happy with the performance.

Necessary equipment if you have an R camera and want to use with RF lenses. So much better than investing in new R lenses. I have used with both telephoto and macro lenses without any issues.
