I recently bought a Canon RP to start getting into Full sensor cameras. However, coming from owning a 60d and an 80d a have quite the collection of EF-EOS mount lenses. Enter this adapter. On the RP does feel a little bulky with EF mount lenses and you have a cropping issues but to be honest I'd rather have that issue than a bunch of useless lenses. Love it!!!

first off it’s a canon and not an after market company so you will not have any issues Connecting your EF lenses to the Canon R series…… not much to say about it. If you have a big collection of ef Lenses and don’t want to waste money on new lenses right now this is the adapter to get you will not Be disappointed

I bought this for my mirrorless r6 because I wasn’t able to buy all new glass yet and so far after a few months it’s still holding up great and there are no focus issues. I bought a second for my second body and it’s the same thing, no issues and is in Great shape.

Canon has provided an easy way to seamlessly integrate your EF lens stable with the newer RF lenses. As a result, even if Canon hasn’t added an RF version of your favorite lens yet, you can still use the EF version with your R body. There are even different variations of this device available to add the control ring function found on RF lenses, or even drop-in filters.

The Canon EF-EOS R and EOS RP Lens Mount Adapter is a very useful accessory. It enables the use of EF lenses on the EOS R full-frame DSLR. There is a slight cropping effect when EF lenses are used in this way, but the EOS R's resolution of over 30 MP allows the image produced to be enlarged significantly. So this cropping effect is not limiting in any significant way.
