Huge improvements over the 5D2, 6D, and 5D3. Very happy with it as is. Do not shoot video so don't care about that. For strictly stills, excellent resolution, AF is awesome, body feels good in hand. Very pleased with it.

Continues the legacy of Canon Excellence...

If you are a Canon DSLR shooter with experience using Canon's earlier versions of this camera model (i.e., 5d, 5dii, 5diii), you will find this version of the camera to surpass the previous versions in nearly every way. The camera sensor captures higher resolution at higher ISOs than the 5diii, and the dynamic range is better too. I shoot Nikon, Sony, Fuji as well as Canon, and time and again I go back to my Canon gear if I am serious about capturing the best possible photographs (for those interested in movies, there are better alternatives from Sony and Panasonic, however). If you are a photographer who has an investment in Canon glass and are ready to move up from an earlier version of the 5d (or 6d, for that matter), this is a worthy upgrade. Recommended!

I've been waiting for a few month to purchase this camera, and I am SO glad I did! I'm a wedding photographer and i finally made the jump from my 6D's to this model and I couldn't be any happier. Definitely a learning curve on the functions and buttons from switching bodies, but that's expected. I love all the upgraded functions and qualities - especially going to a dual card slot now for back up. I've used it for a number of weddings and other shoots since I purchased it and I am really pleased. As enticing as the touch screen feature was, I actually decided to disable it because I'm nervous about accidentally deleting the images haha. Overall a great product!

I know that mirrorless seems to be the way of the future, but this time tested DSLR is a beast of a camera with superb image quality. Even if you buy it new in 2024 you wont be disappointed. Durablility, reliability, and outstanding image quality do not disappoint.

Had a ten year old Canon. Bought this for a replacement and OMG. In love at the first shutter click. So many features have not had a chance to muse all of them. Great work Canon

This is an impressive camera. Using it with an L series lens, it takes beautiful pictures even in low light. It is complex, with a steep learning curve, but familiarity with other Canon SLR's helps.

I am very satisfied with my 5D IV... I am a Portrait, Wedding and Event photographer in Philadelphia... I have used it on 1 wedding and 4 portrait shoots so far. I was saving for the 1D X II but I'm glad I decided to save some money and get this camera instead. The FPS are more than enough, unless you're doing pro sports or something extremely fast moving maybe. But I get great quality finished products from the 5D IV and the Video is great also, but I haven't really used 4K. One thing I noticed is that the files sizes are much bigger than my 6D. I actually filled up a whole SD Card for the first time. All in all its a great camera and it actually makes me want to shoot more. Go get it.

Love my 5D Mark IVs so much!! Even with the new mirrorless out, I still use my Mark IV for all my work (weddings, family, portrait, video).

The Canon 5D Mark IV is everything I thought it would be. This camera was an upgrade from my Canon 7D, so the learning curve was easier than expected. Picture quality is excellent!

    Lives up to the hype

No one buys or even considers buying this camera without having a decent idea of what the 5D series from Canon stands for. I won't touch on image quality, features, ease of use, etc. since they are all to the high standards set by the 5D product line. But I will say that the 4th iteration of this camera lives up to all of the hype surrounding it. It is a revision and not a revolution over the previous generation, but having used the camera for a few months, I could not be happier with my investment. If you rely on camera equipment to make a living and need a camera that offers robust features and diverse shooting capabilities, this is the one for you.

Its an excellent camera for its time. I had to return it once i did more research and found out they where better models for a way less. Don't take me wrong; this camera is capable, but lacking features I needed that were in a newer model.

Definitely a step up from the Mark III. The touch screen alone is a major advantage but there are also a number of improvements in controls and functionality. Built like a tank and it's nice that it is a little lighter than the Mark III. On the down side, it would really be nice to have an articulating screen and obviously this is something Canon could do as it's on other models. Another big weakness is the CODEC for video. While 4K is amazing, you can't output in 4K with an HDMI cable and the Canon coding is very inefficient requiring large memory cards. All in all, however, a great camera.

I have absolutely zero complaints about this camera. Upgraded from a rebel series camera and the quality of the 5d mark 4 is subperb and so intuitive to use !

Wanted it for sometime and I finally bought it. I am very happy that I purchased it. Works well and it's a little lighter that the Mark III. Fits well in my hands and it works very smooth. The photos I have taken are great and the camera operations getting to my photos are more than I expect it. I am happy I own this product. Thank you Best Buy for the help in getting it. It was a pleasure dealing with you folks on this and many other products I have bought from Best Buy.
