Love the image quality! High ISO is really good. Menus and touch screen are excellent. Focus system is very good. Build quality is great. Pictures coming out of this camera with a Canon 70-200 F2.8 IS are breathtaking. Color rendering is very very true to real life. BEST images i've ever seen. Now for the bad news. Coming from a Nikon D800, the 5D button layout is horrible. The nikon is way more friendly to the user (except for the confusing menu's in nikon). Canons menus are much much better. However, I despise the shared function of buttons on the 5D and where they are make no sense really. If i could put nikon's buttons on this camera, it would be 5++ stars. In the end, image quality is everything, so i'll fumble around with this thing just because the product coming out is well worth the user pain.

Upgraded from a 7D Mark I. The difference in image quality is indescribable. The 7D was a great camera, but the 5D Mark IV's improvements in dynamic range and high iso performance alone are worth the cost of the camera. But, there's more than just image quality going on: built in time lapse, HDR, 7FPS paired with top notch image quality...awesome.

The features on this camera are endless. From the 30.4 megapixel CMOS sensor to the 104,200 high ISO. The peripheral illumination correction, distortion correction, chromatic aberration correction and diffraction correction can be applied in-camera. The best camera you will ever own.

You simply can't bear the 5D. It's versatility let's you go from shooting on the downtown streets to shooting perfect quality portraits in the studio. I've had people say, "Wow this pic is beautiful! Where did you take it at?" At which I'll chuckle and call out to my seven year old daughter, ask her where she was when she took it. LOL. It really is that good.

I've been shooting Canon since I first picked up a 40D on the suggestion of my buddy who told me he'd let me borrow his lenses. I've upgraded a few times so far, and have at some point owned a 5D Mark II, 7D, and 6D. I currently shoot with the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II lens on the 5D Mark IV and it is incredible what I can do with that combination.

I have been looking to upgrade to a full frame camera for the last 6 months and when they had this on a 24month interest free finance it was hard to pass up. The sharpness and color of this camera paired with the canon L series lenses and Sigma Art Line is unbelievable. I've done 4 photo shoots with it so far and it has by far exceeded my expectations.

We do wedding photography, mostly stills. We are now branching out to video and were looking for a great still camera that has good video quality. This camera does both very, very, very well. Note: 4K video is cropped by 1.74, also, the codec makes the video files very large, make sure you have a high speed SD card. I use 128 gigs.

Yes, you want this camera. This is my workhorse. I bought this second 5DM4 after using my first one for 3 years. No issues ever. If you want to go from Pro-sumer to Pro this is a must. Pair it with a quality lens, it will make a difference.

Definitely made me a happy customer. The 5d mark IV is everything I expected. So far so good. I'm pushing out great quality work with this product. I'm sure it's other cameras out there that might be a little better for other professionals but you won't lose with this one.

I love this camera. I have been shooting Canon for many years now and this is on par with all of the cameras I have owned, if not better. The picture quality is excellent, and the 64 zones of focus give you unparalleled composition.

This is a fabulous upgrade from a 5D Mk2; better IQ, faster AF, and a host of customizable functions. The menus are extensive, but complete; I expect it will take a little while to survey them. But great shooting right out of the box.

The 7 FPS and 30 MP sensor make it a viable replacement for the 1D XII for many nature and light sports activities and the improved dynamic range and good resolution (30MP vs 50MP) make it a strong competitor to the 5DSR for landscape photography. If I could own only 1 camera in the Canon line I would chose this one as a great all-rounder

Improved AF, In The 5D Mark IV.

I am not an early adopter, so there is little to say that has not been said before, by others. I will emphasize the most significant reasons I added a 5D Mark IV. The most important factor is the AF, which has not disappointed me, and notably, I have a Nikon D5, for a frame of reference. Unless/Until we can afford a Nikon super-telephoto, perhaps next year, my best bird combo is the 5D IV and EF 100-400L II. (My wife shoots Nikon, so it would make sense for our one really expensive telephoto to be a Nikkor.) A secondary reason to add the 5D IV is the ability to detect flickering light sources, and synchronize the shutter, for consistent exposures and WB. I already had this valuable capability in my 7D II and 5Ds R cameras, and now have it in my newest “general-purpose” DSLR. These two factors were sufficient for me to add a 5D IV. I had skipped the 5D Marks II and III, and while I appreciate my 5Ds R’s resolution, and still love it, the 5Ds R can be quite demanding as a general-purpose DSLR. I believe my 5Ds R and 5D Mark IV (and D5) complement each other quite well.
