professional photographers, so this purchase was inevitable as an upgrade to the Mk ii. It's beyond expectations, which is sort of what we expected. Best Buy is a great place to make a purchase like this if you know what you're looking for - rewards money goes straight into next purchase.

Bought the camera to upgrade from a 7D just because. Without a lash the camera still does an excellent job. Love the 2 methods of saving pictures (SD and compact flash), the 7D only did the compact flash. Great picture quality. Have not printed large photos yet though.

I've saved up for years to buy this and I am not disappointed. The quality of images is excellent & I really appreciate all the added features. I've found the wireless capabilities, dual card slot, & touch screen help me be so much more efficient on shoots. All-in-all I'm in love!!

I wanted to finally upgrade from my T3i! I chose this camera because I was familiar with the canon layout and ease of them. Make sure you fully understand these higher end cameras before you buy! It’s not the camera that makes the photographer!

This camera is great, I big improvement over the 5D MK III in all aspects. Dinamic range, auto focus and its lighter and mirror slap is more dampten. I am not saying that the 5D MK III is sludge, because it has serve me well and still does, but is a great improvement.

This is my first full-frame dslr from Canon. I have used other dslr's before but not the 5D. The touch screen is really nice and the image quality is superb. This is a keeper and a work horse. I can't wait to do some traveling to see the full capabilities of this beast.

I’ve been a Canon shooter for decades. I own two of these 5D MK IVs. They are a workhorse. If you are looking for a top of the line dslr I highly recommend for the advanced or serious photographer.

I switched over from Nikon because of this camera...this is just the best camera...the controls, the function of the actual camera. If you are using a Mark III it is completely worth the investment to upgrade to this model, you will NOT be sorry. I am in love with it.

    Excellent but Missing Some Aspects

Great Photography Camera with all the tools one needs. What it lacks is video features that Nikon, Panasonic, and Sony are going after. The 4K compression is sad, the lack of HDMI 4K is not supported, the 1.74x crop for 4K, no articulating screen... but everything else is there for HD, for stills, and for an all around affordable camera if you have Canon Lenses... otherwise if you are a video shooter and need an affordable still/video camera you might look toward Panasonic, Nikon, or Sony. For the most part I am very satisfied to utilize this with my Canon Lenses and a companion for my C300.

This camera has so much capability that I've only begun to scrape the surface. My favorite feature over the mkIII is the touch screen display. For my photography, this feature has proven invaluable. I also carry a 7D, but most of the time, it stays holstered since the 5D takes far superior pics. For low light, I'm not afraid to push the ISO because this camera will handle it. Very low noise at high ISOs. I deducted one star for the price. Although the price is in alignment with the Canon "prosumer" product line, it's still a tough pill to swalllow. Maybe my kids can go to college next year ;)

Camera is super fast, great at focusing, the GPS is welcome, Wi-Fi connects excellently to phone or laptop. Great full frame sensor and the 7fps is fantastic. Haven't tried out the video capabilities but 1080p at 60fps is very welcome. Very pleased with the 5D Mark IV.

It's large price is worth it. If you can wait 6 months to a year, the price will go down. The full frame sensor is fabulous and it has low noise at high ISOs. The 30 megapixels enables significant cropping before losing any quality. I have a tendency to tilt the camera before shooting, the in-viewfinder level eliminates this issue. I have taken both vivid sunsets and low light fall foliage with remarkable results. It is a tremendous piece of technology that takes some time getting acclimated. Place the camera on a tripod, use the app on my cellphone and I can shoot remotely without any motion artifacts and view the results on the phone screen. If I brought a tablet, I can have a larger view screen for the remote shooting.
