This is my first full-frame dslr from Canon. I have used other dslr's before but not the 5D. The touch screen is really nice and the image quality is superb. This is a keeper and a work horse. I can't wait to do some traveling to see the full capabilities of this beast.

    Incredible camera, hefty price tag

This camera has so much capability that I've only begun to scrape the surface. My favorite feature over the mkIII is the touch screen display. For my photography, this feature has proven invaluable. I also carry a 7D, but most of the time, it stays holstered since the 5D takes far superior pics. For low light, I'm not afraid to push the ISO because this camera will handle it. Very low noise at high ISOs. I deducted one star for the price. Although the price is in alignment with the Canon "prosumer" product line, it's still a tough pill to swalllow. Maybe my kids can go to college next year ;)

Been waiting along time to get this camera. Weighed all the options...this camera won out, by far. The R5 will be way out of my price range and the 5D MK 4 hit most of my important check marks. Fantastic Camera!!!

I upgraded from a canon to 60d, and decided if I was going to go full frame I may as well go all the way, I've not been disappointed. Pictures are so much better, especially in low light where I need to up the ISO, even at 6800 there's almost no noise at all.

I have many cameras, but I have always wanted to upgrade my 5DM3 to the IV, and everyone would always say... "Why not get the mirrorless?" My input is, I already have mirrorless cameras of different brands, Fujifilm XT-2 & 3, Sony A7RII, Sony RX10 II, and enjoy the different uses I get from using for those cameras for personal uses, but I still wanted to have my workhorse handy. I started with a Canon, and I trust a Canon to help me get my job done when I do any photoshoot. It has never let me down, and the quality I get from the images is tack-sharp. I can tell the difference from my 5DM3 to this new upgrade. I am so happy to have this bad-boy camera in my line up of cameras. #don'tstoplearning #keeponshooting #canon :) <3

The quality of this camera is excellent. The colors are vibrant and bold, and the clarity is outstanding. Although it’s on the heavy side, a camera grip definitely helps out! I definitely recommend this camera. Such a great investment.

Purchased the camera with EF 24-70 lens, took a while to set up camera, there are a lot of features and settings. Takes beautiful pictures, I have taken a few in jpeg but mostly raw. Great camera for taking photos of my grandchildren in action.

Solid camera, it has been highly rated all these years for a reason. For photos, it is great, for video...well, it will get the job done, but it is heavy to use on a gimbal.

The cameras auto focus has been greatly improved, the image quality has also improved from the 5D III. I shot several sporting events, football, and basketball and would say that when it comes to sports it focused better than my Canon 1DX. I also shot some portraits and was happy with the photos. I would recommend but not at the current price of $3,499 plus $349 for the grip makes the camera almost $4000, this is just to high a price.

This Canon 5D Mark IV is my go to full frame camera! The improvements over the 5D Mark 3 are quite astonishing. I take lots of wildlife and Nature photos and many times they are in low light conditions. I have no worries using this camera up to ISO 3200! Higher than that, you can still get good shots if you use post editing noise reduction software. Also, the 30+ mega pixel sensor is absolutely wonderful when cropping a shot in post processing. I can perform a major crop during post processing and still have enough pixels left to keep the picture sharp. The touch screen display is a very nice touch. A solid camera that takes outstanding pictures!

Wow. Just wow. Don't listen to the haters commenting about 4k video etc.. This camera works great, and the 4k video, is very good. I am sure that if you are a pro videographer - you'll be looking at a dedicated video camera - but for me it works just fine. Two tips - make sure to format all your memory cards in exFAT to prevent the video's being broken into 4GB segments. And the camera when recording to 4k - does produce HUGE files that will need to be processed down into more manageable video codec. Handbrake works great for that.

I know that mirrorless seems to be the way of the future, but this time tested DSLR is a beast of a camera with superb image quality. Even if you buy it new in 2024 you wont be disappointed. Durablility, reliability, and outstanding image quality do not disappoint.

Huge improvements over the 5D2, 6D, and 5D3. Very happy with it as is. Do not shoot video so don't care about that. For strictly stills, excellent resolution, AF is awesome, body feels good in hand. Very pleased with it.

great camera with super features but a big manual and slight learning curve to be able to utilize this high end camera's multitude of features. Not for the beginner but great for a semi-pro shooter

I've been waiting for a few month to purchase this camera, and I am SO glad I did! I'm a wedding photographer and i finally made the jump from my 6D's to this model and I couldn't be any happier. Definitely a learning curve on the functions and buttons from switching bodies, but that's expected. I love all the upgraded functions and qualities - especially going to a dual card slot now for back up. I've used it for a number of weddings and other shoots since I purchased it and I am really pleased. As enticing as the touch screen feature was, I actually decided to disable it because I'm nervous about accidentally deleting the images haha. Overall a great product!
