I fell in love with this camera. Takes very clear pictures at night. I only wished it came with built in flash.

    Substantial upgrade from APS-C

I've only had my 6S Mk ii for a week, but I've wanted this camera ever since it was announced. Coming from an APS-C camera (Canon SL1), this is a substantial upgrade. Larger sensor, better dynamic range, better lens. It's an improvement in every way for how I shoot photographs. The menu system is similar to other Canon cameras so the learning curve wasn't too huge. With an upcoming summer vacation I can't wait to take more photos!

Very solid built with good feel in hand. This camera will make you glad that you moved up to the quality of full frame. Images are outstanding with the high quality lens and it has features for beginners to pros. One of the best parts is that you have so many lens options for this camera.

The DR issue with this camera is real. My 70D beats it for IQ and according to tests, the 80D does too for DR, both of which are crop-sensor bodies. I really, really, REALLY wanted a FF body with an articulating screen (more for filmmaking and night-sky work), but this really, truly is a step BACK from the original 6D. Sure it has some bells and whistles, but at the end of the day, it's IQ I'm seeking (I don't care about how AF works if the image SUCKS!) Playing with this for a few weeks until concluding that my 70D, a 6D and a 5DMKII had superior IQ and DR where it counted and this body having an insanely knackered ISO calibration, I sent to Canon for calibration (at my expense, yes under warranty, but they didn't offer to pay to have it shipped to them, I had to pay for that..., for a TWO-WEEK old camera!). They returned and it was DOA. I am sure it did not leave Canon that way, but the box was intact with no damage, water, etc., no one has a clue why. So it went BACK to Canon and there it sits. I had to rent another body for a low-light shoot this weekend. No telling when I'll get my "new" camera back and they claim they'll repair or send me a refurbished one for replacement. Great. Buy a new camera and a month and a half later, you get a refurb/old camera. Canon has seriously gone down hill. I'd get a 5DMK4 if I could afford, but rare shoots pay enough for that kind of kit now. At least for what I shoot anyway. I'd suggest you get a new/old-stock 70D or an 80D (not really much more than the 70D) if you want IQ and better DR at low ISO. Avoid this until Canon wises up and just puts the 5DMK4 sensor in it. Then it'll be worthy of it's price.

This camera is way overpriced so try and get it as far below sticker as you can. It's a decent full-framed camera but the auto focus is hindered into a tiny group of cross-types. Also, the dynamic range leaves much to be desired, if you're looking for the best, look elsewhere otherwise, it's the only full-framed Canon with a swiveling touch-screen. I own two of these bodies and they've both treated me quite well. Great entry but not so great for pros.

Yeah it's a lot of money but you get what you pay for when it comes to camera. Even with the lense that came with it I feel it's had a lot of overall range right out of the box. Of course we will be buying more lenses in the future but very pleased so far with no issues whatsoever.

Canon never fails me. I purchased this camera has an upgrade. My old skin is still works but I was so excited to finally get a camera with no crop sensor and my first L Series lens. For the price it is such an amazing value and I am so tickled with a quality of images that I get

I got this camera because I wanted a full-frame camera that didn’t break the budget. This camera is great, it it leaps and bounds better than my previous T2i and the wireless transfer of files is so handy. It has made me want to take my camera even more places knowing I can share them so quickly after I take them!

Camera is fantastic and shoots amazing quality. I love how there is an app so that I can download the pictures / videos directly to the phone. I feel like the quality to download straight from the camera to my phone as opposed to putting the card in my computer has so much better resolution.

This camera / lens combo is great! The “L” series lens is my first and very worth it. The articulating lcd screen is a must, once you get used to it you can’t go back. High or Low shots are possible without needing to look through the eyepiece. For the price it’s a great camera.
