Purchased Feb 2018 Reviewing Nov 2020 After months of research on which camera to upgrade to, I was sorted and sure to buy the 5DMK4, but when I arrived at the store to get some hands-on with the camera my whole perspective changed. The 6DMK2 and 5DMK4 were so close in spec, I couldn’t wrap my head around the price difference. It was either buy the body for one or get full set with lens for the other. Articulating screen and price were the absolute determining factors in my purchase. Weddings are a blast with this camera. Car shots with the articulating screen are quite fun. While doing graduation photos, I realized that the screen can be used as a selfie camera with a shorter lens of course, you tap on the screen where you want focus and it works flawlessly. Beyond happy with this camera! Battery life is the best I’ve seen in a DSLR. Remote shooting and Bluetooth are game changers when doing minimal setup shots. I’ve only ever used the included lens and a 50mm 1.8, throughout this whole time and surprisingly it’s all I’ve ever needed. Photography is a hobby for me and I enjoy taking photos with a different perspective than the main photographer. Paid $3200 upon purchase of the Canon 6DMK2, including taxes, and not once have I regretted my decision! I needed the best within my price range. My previous camera was a Canon T3Rebel, yeah I know, and I still use it for lesser environmentally friendly shoots. Single issue I had with my Canon 6D Mark 2, booting up mid shoot after the screen went to sleep, I would sometimes get an error about the lens or it would just not work at all. Had it happen on four different occasions and I was ready to do a full tear down. It turned out to be a firmware update being required. First photo is of myself while using the remote shooting feature (phone in hand, tap screen where to focus/capture)

I bought this for the full frame sensor. I would not discourage a beginner from buying this camera, but I would point them to another Canon in the Rebel class. I am an intermediate photographer and I am amazed everyday at what it will do. With the 24 - 105mm f/4L lens I am turning out some amazing shots already. I am really surprised at what this camera will do and I HAVEN’T EVEN SCRATCHED THE SURFACE. I am producing some of the sharpest photos I have ever produced. I have moved up from a Rebel Xsi and T3i and I am happy with the ease at which the conversion is. The Mode Dial and on/off are on the left instead of the right, but the is an easy adjustment to make. This is one good Camera and the has made me the envy of my Canon using pro friends.

I had EOS Rebel 5i before this one and I have been a hobbyist photographer, was able to sell some photos on Adobe Stock. This camera changed everything, faster focus and flexible touch display enables capturing outstanding shots from the angles I could never do before. I also saw mega improvements in sports photos as I can shoot 6-7 pics per second and it has excellent image stabilization feature. It's a professional grade camera you'll get without spending a fortune. Will definitely recommend!

I was looking to upgrade my Rebel t3i and came across this camera. I was not looking for anything that would be overwhelming but was worth the money in upgrade. It's been amazing so far. I've done many shoots with it and haven't touched my Rebel since. However, just because I outgrew it doesn't mean I won't find it useful one day. Going full frame was a big difference. I've had to relearn how to use my settings in Manual and it's very pleasing how easy of a transition it was.

I upgraded to this camera from a T3i. Can you say wow?! Big upgrade in picture quality. Features, very video, and microphone. I love this camera. Watched plenty of YouTube videos complaining about it not having 4k and yadda yadda, but this is more aimed for a photographer, or videographer not interested in 4k. I recommend this for photographers!

It’s an excellent entry point to the full frame world. Paired with the 24-105L lens it is helping me create some really nice shots. Plus, the interest-free financing helps!

I am still trying to learn all of the bells and whistles. I have had a Rebel XT since 2006 and this was a great move for me. I sit down in my computer room with my instruction book along with the 6D Mk II and work through some of the functions. I have already taken some pictures which have turned out great! I am getting ready to take a Caribbean cruise so this will be a good time to use the camera to it's maximum potential. Before I purchased I did quite a bit of research and found that this camera fits me well.

I have had an opportunity to take some pictures of birds, in my back yard, and am very pleased with the results. The camera has a lot of flexibility, including automation through the iPhone app "Canon Connect". It was substantially lower in price than the Canon 5D Mk IV but I think that I would not gain a lot by spending the extra $1500 for the upgraded body. I am very please with the performance and available accessories.

I’ve been shooting with a Canon 60D for several years and wanted to move to a full fram camera. My first choice was a 5D mark IV but I didn’t want to spend that much money. I chose the new 6D Mark II because it had the features I was looking for at an affordable price. I’ve been shooting with this camera for several weeks and I must say I am very impressed. Low light is great. Auto focus is great. The touch screen is better than I ever imaniged. I would definitely recommend this camer to anyone interested in a full frame camera at an affordable price.
