The Canon R6 Mark II truly raises the standard for content creators. Its autofocus is lightning-fast and precise, perfect for capturing fleeting moments, whether in sports or events. The 24.2 MP sensor delivers impressive image quality, with excellent dynamic range and solid performance in low-light conditions.
In video, it records in 4K up to 60fps without cropping, offering incredible flexibility in post-production. Plus, the eye and subject detection autofocus is outstanding—it almost feels like the camera thinks for you.
The body is sturdy, comfortable to hold during long sessions, and the in-body image stabilization works spectacularly.
If you’re looking for a versatile camera that performs equally well in photo and video, the R6 Mark II is an investment worth every penny. Canon truly knocked it out of the park with this one!

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better camera! I upgraded from a canon r100 for sports photography and this shoots at 40fps making my job a lot easier! The quality is fantastic, it’s very light, would recommend 10/10 times!

I recently purchased the Canon EOS R6 II from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice. This camera is a game-changer! The image quality is outstanding, even in low light, and the autofocus is lightning-fast and precise. I don't use it for video, but I hear that's amazing as well.
What made the experience even better was the amazing help I received at Best Buy. The associates were incredibly knowledgeable about the R6 II, patiently answering all my questions about features, lenses, and accessories. They helped me compare options and even gave me tips on how to get the most out of the camera. Their expertise made me feel confident in my purchase.
If you’re considering the Canon EOS R6 II or need advice on camera gear, I highly recommend heading to Best Buy. The camera is phenomenal, and the team there truly cares about helping you make the right choice!

Review as a hobbies. I picked up the R10 to get back into photography. Years ago I had a Nikon DSLR and missed the capability of a stand alone camera. The R10 felt limited and not as robust as I wanted so I swapped it out for the R6 MK II. This body has been fantastic. Great feature to make it easy to use out of the box and plenty of room to learn and grow.
Lens selection works fo the native RF mount. Maybe not the most economical. I cannot speak to the EF to RF adaptor, but know plenty that use it and have had success.

This is my second camera ever owned and my first mirrorless! I started with the Canon 90D which is a superb camera. The 90D had a great sensor for photography but I actually purchased it for its ability to shoot 4K video, but only up to 30fps. After 5 years, I was ready to upgrade.
The R6 Mark 2 does not disappoint. Not only is it my first mirrorless camera, and my first full frame but its also my first with IBIS. First taking the camera out of the box I thought I heard a rattling inside the camera and I was worried my unit came damaged. But I learned its just to IBIS motor when there's no power provided to it, because once you power on the camera the internal movement no longer occurs. This camera shoots up 4K 60fps uncropped full frame and it is stunning.
There are some quirks that I'm still adjusting to, such as the "Rate" button, which at this time I don't use but I might in the future. But where the Rate button is where I would instinctively think think the "Menu" button should be and unfortunately that button cannot not be remapped. And instead of having a 4 way directional pad for navigating the menus like my 90D had, I only have a rotating wheel and the center "OK" button, so I find myself have to use the touch screen more frequently in order to quickly change my settings. Every camera is different and I was told a lot of the R series Canon's have interesting button choices but its not a bother enough for me to have to return it.
Overall the performance is great. I'm excited to get more lenses for this, and I can see myself owning this longer than 5 years. If you're a video guy like me who does occasional photography, this is the one to get. I was able to snag it for $1,999 on Cyber Monday 2024. Hope you can get the same deal or better.

Excellent camera! Takes amazing photos with minimal effort. This is my first mirrorless Canon and I'm very pleased with the image quality and burst rate, especially for sports photography.

So much more than I imagined in this upgrade! I went from a Canon 70D to this Mark II and I cannot say how much more awesome it is! Worth the upgrade and price

This camera is everything I had hoped for and more! I was lucky to get the last one my store had in stock that day and the Best Buy employee was great at trying to help me find lenses at other stores since they weren't in stock there. I'm so excited for what this camera is going to do for my photography business!

I'm still learning how to adjust some of the settings for my wildlife photos, I've been using my canon R7 for wildlife with no complaints and still plan on keeping it. but I'm impressed with this camera for wildlife and portrait pictures nothing to complain about yet.

Upgraded from the original R6 to the Mark II and have been super impressed with the improvements! I thought the autofocus was amazing on the old R6 - somehow the Mark II is even better! Handles low light really well. I've been using Canon for around 7 years as a professional photographer, and each new camera is better than the last! I pair this with the 28-70 2.0 RF lens most of the time, and it's a dreamy combo. Wouldn't want to go back to working weddings without it!

Awesome Camera, loaded with features and a substantial upgrade in battery consumption over the R6 mk i which eats through batteries quite rapidly. Camera is light-weight, ISO is very nice, Camera briefly explains each setting when you turn to it. I really like this camera a lot. Highly recommend. I use it to photograph weddings and portrait sessions professionally.

Bought this camera for our son who is a sports photographer. He says it is the best camera ever, easy to use and takes clear pictures. He has several cameras, and this model is by far the best.

I came from the beastly 5d Mark ii and upgraded to this monster!
Definitely worth the investment! It makes my sessions move smoother and quicker. I'm glad I waited to invest in the mirrorless line and stuck with my old camera body.
Of all the mirrorless cameras, I would pick this or the r5 for my photography business. The r8 would be a third choice as well.
Remember, though, it is not the tool but the user that is important. I stayed with my 5d mark ii to ensure I learned how to utilize my camera to its best abilities, and now, with the r6 mark ii, I feel that I have taken off any restraints I had before.
The swivel flip screen makes creating content solo a breeze, and I also love the wifi and Bluetooth features!
Shooting 4k videos without worrying about overheating issues feels like flying through the skies now. I can film in peace without explaining that my camera needs a break, haha!
