This is a really good camera and doesn’t take much to learn how to use it, that’s if you give it a little attention. I’m not used to spending so much on a camera, but in comparison to others I believe it’s a good deal. The pictures come out great and I am enjoying my new found hobby!!

I went with the R50 because it had a lot of the features of the more expensive Canon mirrorless cameras while still being an affordable entry point (on sale, anyway). I like the movable touchscreen quite a lot and so far I think mirrorless is the way to go. My only gripe about this is the new RF mount system. I would have loved it if these kept the EF mount, but I suppose I get it.

Fantastic camera. Took really great pictures and the features were great

Long overdue upgrade from a Sony a390. Camera is leaps and bounds better than my former setup. It's small size took me by surprise. Auto Focus is quiet. Picture taking is quieter (less moving parts due to no mirrors). Took this to the Grand Canyon over New Years and captured some amazing photos. The ones that were not so great are 100% user error. It's small size and light weight didn't leave me wishing I had left it at home. The stock lens in this kit is a bit underwhelming. The manual focus ring is easy to bump when adjusting zoom. If you have big hands like I do, the small size takes a bit to get the hang of. It's easy to mash buttons in error. Start saving for an upgraded lens. The 24mm-105mm is on my list.
