Customers are delighted by the EOS R6's exceptional image quality, impressive low-light performance, and remarkably fast autofocus, frequently praising its ease of use and lightweight design. However, some users have reported issues with overheating, particularly during extended video recording, and shorter than expected battery life. A few also mentioned the camera's higher price point.

Love this camera. I shot on the 6d for many years and just upgraded to the EOS R6. It was recommended by the Best Buy employee and I’ve enjoyed this camera. Highly recommended to professionals.

I was nervous to spend this much on a camera since I’m not a professional photographer but I absolutely love it. I’ve used it primarily for photos of dogs and could not be happier with the results.

I now own 2, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Well maybe an R5. But they are AMAZING. LOW LIGHT SETTINGS FOR THIS CAMERA IS UNBEATABLE!

Coming from the EOS R, I was looking between the R6 and R5 as both appeared to have fantastic autofocusing systems, in-body stabilization and a high frame per second count. I needed something that would help more with more action and nature photos which both seemed to be perfect for.
A point of concern for many, myself once included, was the low 20 megapixel sensor. However, looking between the R and R6 images the difference is VERY minimal and you can get away with cropping and printing on sizes larger than 8x10.
The autofocusing is superb and makes capturing fast moving subjects easy. Pet photography, birds/wildlife, and any real action can be easily capture with this camera body (also using the latest firmware with no issues and general improvement has been made with the servo tracking).
The R6 is a fantastic camera for any Canon user looking to upgrade their gear. If someone new to photography was looking between the R and R6, I'd easily say the R6 (still love my R though).

This is a great camera for any photographer. Excellent low light performance and my photos have been spectacular. Video quality is also great as well, though I recommend getting an external recorder for longer record times. To get the most out of the camera, there can be a bit of a learning curve. There is plenty of free educational videos on Youtube that will get a new user up to speed.

I bought the R6 because of the animal eye focus mainly. Upgraded from the Canon R body which I still own. Lots of great functions but the eye focus is superior for sure. The colors are beautiful and the focus stacking works great even hand holding.

Great camera. If you want to get in the Canon line of mirrorless but don't need the maxed out version of the R5, this is a great alternative. Great in low light scenarios as well!

I upgraded from the Rebel T5. This camera is amazing. The touch screen was something I didn’t know I needed. The focus is incredible and versatile. I love the different shutter options, as well as the ability to use Bluetooth to sync images. I’ve yet to find a fault, but I weekly find something new that I love. Love the dual SD card slot and the ability to customize all of my buttons. Great investment

The R6 provides me with the speed of Autofocus and shutter speed that I wanted for capturing pics of my grandkids. they tend to scoot fast. Shortly after getting the R6, we had a birthday party outside, with social distancing. Using the R6 paired with the RF24-105L lens allowed me to grab tons of great images, from flying wrapping paper to bubbles in the air. BB was prompt with sending the camera to my home. A great upgrade from my prior Canon R

EOS R6... What more is there to say about this work horse? Many stated there are overheating issues, but it really depends on how you're using the camera. I Personally have never experience that, but then again i use fast memory and use this for Fast moving scenes or astrophotography. Its low light performance is better than the R5 in my opinion , but R5 has its Pros/Cons just like any other camera.
The R6 Is pretty solid and great camera to have in the field or on an astrophotography rig. The Dual Card slots are nice to have and almost a necessity if you are going to be doing many shoots over the week and weekend.
The exposure iso range is insane and flip screen is awesome! I have almost all the Mirrorless camera EOS R line of camera and this is still probably one of my favorites that i carry around. The Price point, Features and Capabilities definitely make the R6 a fantastic choice.
Attached is a single unprocessed photo taken thru the R6 on one of my astrophotography session (ISO: 6400 exposure time 4 seconds) - Of the Orion Nebulae. Distance 8320 Trillion Miles away taken thru an Edge HD 1400 telescope) using the R6 camera as a 2" lense attachment (Yeah i know lazy way, but it worked). Enjoy
