EOS camera purchase

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a good experience with the Best buy but one issue I can see is that rewards points are not assigned to this transaction and I have been calling best buy for the last 6 months but no resolution so far that really frustrating me.

Great camera

Good Camera. Watch for Hot Shoe Issues.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this camera 2 years now. The camera takes good quality photos. Love the eye finder, quality of photos, especially at the higher ISO's, and the ease of use of the menu. However, Canon has a hot shoe issue that they ned to resolve or fix for free on the R6's and R5's. This is costly to repair especially since it's a manufacturing issue and not a user issue. The hot shoe becomes loose and cannot be repaired from the outside. The whole camera needs to be taken apart to be repaired. Which means it needs to be sent in to Canon.

Skip the R5, get this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was torn between this and the R5, was worried that I needed more megapixels. I was able to get my hands on an early release R5 and let me tell you, for the vast vast majority of people, the R6 will perform extremely well. If you are a landscape photographer and crop like crazy, maybe the R5 but otherwise, you're wasting your money.

Mirrorless Camera

The only problem i have is getting a flash for it, they have been sold out for awhile and it cost additional. My DSLR already had flash so now i have to spend extra money for all the additional accessories.
