I love this camera, its fast and perfect for what i need.

When it is working I really like this camera BUT it freezes up fairly frequently (the Menu, Quick Set, Shutter and Playback buttons don't work). I have shutdown the camera, remove and replace the battery, and re-start the camera to get it working again. This happened to my first copy of the camera, so I exchanged it for a second one. I updated the firmware to 1.1.0 and then did extensive tests, some with stills but most with " High-speed continous" drive mode. For each lens I used Mechanical, Electronic First-Curtain and Electronic Shutter, and had IS on and IS off (6 combinations). I took about 1000 shots over several days and it froze up on 6 of the 10 lenses (RF, EF, EF-S) I tried. I reset to factory defaults and still had a problem. I never once had a freeze with my 70D, M6 and M6 Mk II. I took the second copy back for a refund. Maybe I just got 2 bad copies, but I've given up on it.

Make sure you check every feature before the 6 month warranty expires. Just before it was up the kit lens stopped working, but since I was out of the country I was not able to address it in time. I also found out during that trip that one of my SD card slots will not read. Other than those two major issues I love the camera. They have made a lot of changes in technology between my old rebel and this one. I just wish I didn’t have to downgrade to the adapter for my old EF lens. It is such a shame to spend this much money, and not have at least a year for a warranty.

This camera is GREAT, for beginners! It didn't work well for me because I wanted full frame!

Great Canon R7 camera but price was just so so as it went on sale just after my purchase.

I purchased this camera to upgrade from my RebelT3. This does not come with a flash so areas with low light are not great for pictures. It does have a great auto-focus, great with moving subjects. It has two SD card slots which is convenient. The colors in the pictures are very vibrant and nice.

I love my R7! I came from an older 7D so this was quite different with all the stuff to learn. It’s a great camera and I am very impressed with it

Way to complex for the basic user. Bought as a gift for my wife for her birthday and she couldn't figure it out so we decided to return it. Went to my local store to return and i was extremely disappointed to find out there was a 15% restocking fee. Come on Best Buy! This is outrageous. $270 just to pit it back on your self and resale it at full price. All the packaging was there and barely touched. And the guy at the check out counter could care less. Read the fine print people before you purchase anything from Best Buy. Could cost you hundreds of dollars if something turns out to not be what your looking for. Really hard to make sure its exactly what you want when they dont stock anything in the store anymore so you can see it before you buy it.

This is a wonderful camera. I have nothing bad to say about it. super light weight. I paired it with the Canon rf 100-400. I love the combination.

Great camera. It is a cropped sensor however I am finding with the high mega pixels it makes up for that.

Returned unopened because my daughter wanted a different camera. Was charged a restock fee of 300 dollars. Physical store claimed they could not reverse it. Online store said sure we will fix it. That was 6 days ago. So now I’m chasing my 300 dollars because Best Buy can’t figure out a simple return. Will never buy any product here again and I have been loyal Best Buy customer.

This camera is built for specific setting if you tried different settings the pictures are starting blurry and eventually it will stopped and switched off the camera.

Loose lens fit. Not sure if it was the lens or the mount but the lens rotated 3-5 degrees after being attached! Low quality for the price. I'll stick with Fuji or Sony.
