Great camera and the functions were not too overwhelming since this is my first DSLR camera. The ease of use is a big plus. The standard lens did not fit my particular needs for my kids sports, but otherwise the lens was fine for various and more common situations that didn't require me to zoom in from a distance. I actually returned to Best Buy and got the 75-300mm lens as part of a bundle, the camera and standard lens initially was a gift.

I bought this camera for my girl, obviously the white is what made it attractive, but the features that are on par with the T5i, it was an easy decision for me. Having the Canon 70D, the SL1 has made it easier to capture great pictures in events where the 70D was too much to carry!

This is my first non point and shoot camera and it has been fun and easy to learn. I like the touchscreen feature, it's what really sold me on the camera. I haven't really come across any things I don't like about it yet. The autofocus makes taking pictures really quick and easy if you don't have time to set up the lenses manually. Being so much smaller than the other rebel cameras was really appealing too because it's easier to store and it doesn't feel like you're clunking around some big thing around your neck.

I purchased this camera for the purpose of having something that can capture memories in high quality. The functions are easy to use and the camera can make a novice look like a pro. every time i take a picture i'm amazed at how it turns out. only thing i would recommend is to get a flash that you can diffuse the light with, otherwise the flash can overpower a photo.

This is my third Canon DSLR camera. I love the small size and ease of use. There are new scene modes to add to the many automatic settings. Yet it has all the functionality needed to create your own setting and even use in manual. I have not used the video function. I like the ability to have the camera take a shot at very hard lighting conditions where half the subject is well lit and half is dark. It takes 3 shots and fuses into one. Quick set is great for accessing functions without going through a lot of menus.

We wanted something more than our old digital camera and the cameras on our phones. After a lot of research, we decided on this camera. We wanted something that was easy to use, took good pictures but at a reasonable price since we weren't sure how much we would use it. So far we are very happy. The screen gives explanations on the settings as you adjust them - good since we are not camera pros. Pictures turn out great. Camera is nice size. Not as big as many dslr cameras.

I have a Canon T2i and I wanted another Canon for my vacation so I could have two different lenses without having to switch them. I was looking at the T5i when I found this. What a perfect camera for my needs. It's simple and much lighter than my T2i and way lighter than the T5i.

This is the first DSLR camera I have owned. I love it! Great features, photo quality and overall performance! The ONLY downside to this camera is that it doesn't have an articulating display. I've got big hands and I'm surprised how comfortable I can hold this camera.

Very easy to use and light weight to carry. Kit lens is standard and only as good as expected. If you want to do more than casual snapshots, you need to upgrade your lens. So far, have taken some great pics of grandkids and this camera makes it easy to hold for extended periods while snapping lots of shots of active babies. Also like to keep it handy for unplanned nature shots .

I'm a novice when it comes to cameras so I was hesitant to spend quite a bit of money on a camera. This camera and the lens was completely worth the money. It is simple to use (and easy to figure out) and takes amazing pictures. I couldn't be happier.

This is my first ever DSLR camera so I still have a lot of learning to do. So far I am completely satisfied with the camera. Strait out of the box on auto mode it takes great pictures, and they only got better once I started to play with the settings.

I love this camera. The body is small and light so it is perfect for those who have small hands and find grabbing a larger camera cumbersome. The picture clarity is amazing! You can see so many fine details. I'm not crazy about hearing the camera click when you don't want to alert the animals, so that's one thing I wish can be fixed. The other bad thing is the lenses are really expensive, especially the macro lens. I find the menu and other functions easy to operate.

I LOVE the improved quality of photos having and SLR means! This compact design is just the ticket!!! The auto settings helps in getting started. I can't wait to take classes to learn the next steps. However, it wasn't hard to figure out some basic adjustments in just playing around with the settings on the camera.... in that way the camera is easy to use! You can add to it and make it far more complex or as simple as you wish! Deifinitely not the cheapest or the most expensive. A great middle of the road camera for a camera buff that wants something more than a point and shoot.
