I've had this thing for two weeks. It's my first camera. I have absolutely babied it, and only taken it out of the house once. When I was uploading some pictures to my phone, the camera crashed and refuses to come on at all. I have tried every solution available but there is really nothing out there to help me with such a new camera. It is probably a problem with the internal battery, since the rechargeable battery kept dying instantly after putting it into the camera. Either way, I am absolutely devastated by the loss of my $650 camera right before the holidays, when I really wanted to use it the most - as well as very disappointed in this product and purchase. As soon as Best Buy reopens I will be going to get my replacement under warranty.

    Excellent Upgrade By Canon-Superior Performance

I carry a camera constantly. Along with high-end lenses (Canon L-Series). I travel for a living so I always have the camera engaged in my travels; both business and personally. I have a Canon 6D Mark ll body and a Canon 5d Mark iV body. Both are stunning cameras but heavy. Along comes Canon's SL3. Still a SLR but at a fraction of the price. Made of plastic. Made in Taiwan. Lightweight (sometimes even cheap). I disliked Canon's SL1 and SL2 models so I'm very impressed that their SL3 is such a performer. SPECS can be found on Canon's website if you're looking for details. However, I first want to add that this camera has Canon's fast-performance DIGIC 8 processor. For reasons unknown, Canon introduced the DIGIC 8 on the SL3. It's a 2019 processor of high speed and amazing performance. Expect no shutter lag, no lighting issues and when paired with a good-quality SD card (I use 300MB SD cards from SanDisk), the camera does everything you could expect of a $1500-$2500 body for basic shooting. It's underpriced. It's a value for certain. What I do dislike about it is the inferior lens that comes with the camera when you buy the KIT VERSION. It's a plastic, cheaply designed and low performance starter lens. It is a EF-S lens but the SL3 will take both EF and EF-S lenses. Thankfully I have many EF L-Series lenses and it's a much better camera when using a quality lens. Very impressive SLR from Canon.
