I'm just back from a nearly month-long trip to Peru and I bought the Rebel T3i especially for the trip. My vacation took me from churches and peaceful, panoramic views to climbs up steep steps to visit ruins. I also took a point-and-shoot pocket camera along, but I never took it out of my pocket. The T3i more than fit the bill for every situation -- from shots standing along mountain peaks to firing away from the observation car of a rocking train. I own other Canon cameras -- high end ones that are near professional -- but had not purchased any in the Rebel series before now, believing that they were amateurish. My mistake. The T3i is wonderfully versatile, easy to handle and up to the task.

I have used point and shoot cameras for years. Each camera was a step closer to this camera. It has many features that mirror the point and shoot cameras. The camera and its lens are very good. I would suggest thst you use manual focus in night shots. The auro focus is hit or miss on yhe dark. I still have my point and shoot for when I need to make quick shots, but if you have time to set up your shots, this canera will do it all.

I bought this for my fiancé, and she hasn't put the camera down yet! She absolutely loves it, and with it being her first DSLR camera, she has really taken to it. She is excited about taking it to Ireland on our honeymoon, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this camera captures the scenery. The best way to learn how to use this camera is trial and error, and by really playing around with it indoors & outdoors. This particular model was purchased because of the video feature on a DSLR camera at an affordable price.

This is one with an affordable price point, a nice variety of features for photo and video and some very impressive image quality.

This is my first DSLR camera, and I thought it would be overwhelming to use. I was wrong. This camera is easy to set up and use right out of the box. The battery lasts a really long time, especially if you use the eyepiece and not the screen to shoot pictures. Great camera.

This is my first DSLR camera. Using the auto feature is easy and the pictures are fantastic. Some of the other features are also easy to use. There are a few that I am not quite understanding (along with all the new terminology) and will learn through trial and error or I might take a class. I purchased this right before my daughters graduation and was able to take fantastic pictures right away. I am so happy because often pictures taken with my other camera were not in focus or were blurred whether I was using the auto feature or selecting a scene. I am excited to start taking new photos and learning about all the features and how to take better pictures.

We have had the point and shoot cameras for many years now and wanted to get something that took better quality photos. This camera was recommended to me by a friend and I did a lot of on line research reading reviews. Because of the positive feedback and reasonable price I selected this camera. I am very satisfied and recommend it to others.

My daughter loves her new camera. Definitely a good choice for a budding photographer. It was her favorite Christmas gift!!

I've had this camera for about a month and have loved every minute. I've taken volleyball, football, and even videoed a preschool program. It's easy to use and makes great pics.

Love our new T3i, we are new to DSLR's and wanted something somewhat easy to use to help our learning curve and this camera is perfect! Great pictures can be taken on multiple settings, love all the options that you can attach and set on it, plus we got it for a smokin price with a few free extras! Can't get any better than that!

The settings are easy to switch and canon even has videos for beginners which is free! So glad I bought this DSLR!!!!

I've had this camera for 3 months now, it's such an easy camera to use. Being that it's my first dslr camera I was a bit intimidated by all the buttons at first but once I spend some hours just messing with it I realized how easy it actually was. Overall great camera, sharp images , user friendly and the price is good.

My first DSLR camera and it's great. I was a little hesitant at first with all the functions and buttons but it was very easy to pick up. Very easy to use. Picture quality is incredible. Comes with a great starter lense. Haven't done much of video mode but the quality is outstanding. Would absolutely recommend to a friend

I bought this camera while on vacaction to replace my Rebel that went on the fritz. It is fairly light weight, easy to hold and works beautifully with the Canon lenses I already owned. 18 MP gives great quality pictures. The settings are easy to use, the maual easy to understand. I am very pleased with the choice of this camera.

I am not a professional photographer and I am sure there are plenty of camera options that I do not fully utilize, but this camera is very easy to use for a novice or intermediate user and the picture quality and focus options with absolutely amaze you.

I bought this camera so I could take close up shots and get started into photography. So far the camera has exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is excellent and the menu paths on the camera are easy to follow. I would recommend this product.
