    Tons of features

The camera is great, tons of features and lenses that you can use. The problem comes in the learning of those features. The book it comes with is so-so in regards to learning anything, had to buy a DvD and watch a lot of the training videos on their website to begin getting off the preset settings and actually use the camera. Presets give great pictures but it is not until you begin programming the settings you want and learning how to adjust the settings in manual do you begin to actually see the camera bloom. Pros: Value, Features, ability to have a wide selection of lenses to choose from later so I can keep the camera for a long time. Cons: Need to invest time actually using the camera to get it of the point and shoot type environment.

easy for routine but some complicated stuff

the good thing about this camera is that it has a lot of features. The bad thing about this camera is that it has a lot of features. The regular settings for taking routine pictures are fairly easy to set up but there are some much more complicated settings that are going to take some study (for a novice like me) to get used to using. For my over 50 eyes some of the settings on the camera are hard to see.

I did all my research and this little baby lived up to all my high expectations. I purchased a lens extender that solved my noise smear problem and it cost only a few bucks and easy to install. I took the time to study the manual and other documentation and that is important before you start turning settings and clicking away. I recommend spending several hours of detail study to make sure you master what this camera can do for you. This will pay off!! My new camera and I now know each other and we are a wonderful team. I picked up a macro lends and a separate zoom lens and love the freedom. Great camera for under $1000. DP

This is an awesome camera that takes great photos & has lots of features to play around with. I love the LCD flip screen. Now I just need to take a photography class so I can fully understand all the possibilites at my fingertips! I have not tried to video with it yet, though.

I've not had an opportunity to read all of the instructions yet, but it was easy to get started with this camera without memorizing the full manual. Until I become more comfortable, the automated settings are very helpful and I've already taken some amazing photos.

Simply put, the Canon T3i takes great shots. The 18 megapixels of resolution is outstanding. Focus is fast. Camera settings offers creative ways to take quality shots any time, day or night, indoors or outdoors. Well worth the investment.

I purchased this camera after viewing pictures a friend took with his t3i. It is easy enough for a individual to use who has no camera jargon knowledge, but takes excellent quality pictures. Don't hesitate!!

I was torn between cannon and nicon. But went with cannon because of the video mode. I'm glad I got the t3i instead of the t3. The flexablit view screen is well worth the extra cost. I also picked the t3i over the t4i, because the t3i had all the features I wanted. The t4i had too much for me to use as a novice. For those wanting just the right fit and not over pay, this is the one to get. T3 didn't have the features, the t4i had too much, but the t3i was just right.

I'm a fan of Cannon cameras and this one totally meets my expectations. For quick easy shots the automatic settings take awesome photos. For more advanced photography the manual settings are fun to work with.

I used it over the holidays and it works great. It does take some getting use to, it's not a point and shoot. But so far I have really enjoyed it, worth taking the time to learn all it's intricacies.

I am an amateur photographer who enjoys taking photos of wildlife. This little camera does the job. It was reasonably priced and came with a carrying case and strap. It was easy to set up and easy to use. It takes nice photos. Would recommend it to anyone.

This camera has a lot of Auto features as well as manual features. Takes video at 24fps which is nice for giving your videos a more artistic feel. Love that the back screen folds out or in for different viewing options. The camera is not too heavy either.

I bought this as my first DSLR, and I love it. After many years of taking photography, finally switching to a DSLR is nice. This camera is easy in both auto and manual settings, has great color balance and detail, and quality of photos is awesome.

I like this camera a lot. It takes wonderful pictures, even when object is in motion. There are numerous settings and detailed instructions to help you along the way. The only down side is its size. It makes it hard to take everywhere with you.

Purchased this camera to take sports action shots of my daughter's sporting events as my point and shoot camera was horrible. So far, it has been a great camera and I have taken some great shots even though this is my first DSLR camara. I do plan on taking a class to learn more about it, but so far it has been well worth the price.
