Sophisticated camera, difficult for beginner.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a beginner to using this type of sophisticated camera. All previous cameras have been auto focus, press button cameras. Purchased this camera to take better photos of my kids' sporting events. It took me a week to figure out how to use the zoom lens - manual was not helpful. I also haven't figured out all the little settings you can adjust. Despite all this, this camera takes AMAZING pictures! My son is a long jumper and the camera captured the sand "exploding" around his feet - without any blurring due to the fast action! If you have knowledge of photography terms, this is the camera is definitely for you. If not, it will take time to figure the camera out, but be patient and you will capture amazing things....

A great entry-level DSLR camera.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally placed my Canon film SLR camera down and decided to join the Digital SLR world. Based upon my research, the Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D was the place to start. This 18-megapixel camera is loaded with features and capabilities. As I continue to use and explore the capabilities of this camera, I already know that for my non-professional use, I will be using this model for years to come. Anyone can take pictures in the basic modes right out of the box. But it is exciting and fun to take control in the basic modes and to pursue the possibilities of the creative modes. The feedback of your actions is immediately viewable, allowing you to learn and improve so much faster.

Great camera for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a super camera for the mid range price! It's a great option for step up from point and shoot but well under $1,000.00 takes great photos and has many extra features!

Fantastic camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's more that it can do, still learning how to use it to its potential. So far no complications, just trying to take it easy and learn a little at a time. Easy to figure out, easy to use, excellent quality. Also still has the comfort of a Canon, especially if you're used to canon products.

excellant image quality, easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We used to use a Cannon T70 35mm film camera and loved it. That camera took great photos but was large and heavy. We went to small point and shoot 12mp digital cameras but missed the quick shots the T70 had and the quality shots. Ever try taking a quick shot with the little compact digital? Frustrating. We loved not having film though. The 18mp T3i is very much like the T70 in image quality and versatility but it is no where near as heavy. It has alot of bells and whistles that this old dog will take time to learn and I'm sure we will make the most from. Until then there are levels of auto functions that make use easy.

A Product Worth Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.coming from single point shoot era, this was a new world for me entirely. as a lehman I was very confused if I have taken right decision of moving to SLR with having any prior knowledge of it. in the beginning I seriously messed up each and every picture. but as time passed its simple instructions & easy setting made me realize it is perfect indeed. I have started taking pictures very very often now coz I know if not me then my camera will help me to get great quality pictures :).

Waited so long to get
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a camera like this for quite some time, there was always something in my way of getting it. I finally found the $ when there wasn't something else to get. I do this for myself I am not really even amateur level photographer. I have been told I "have a good eye" but really just take pics for myself and family. This camera is good for the amateur in that you can take great looking pics with no real hassle. If you want to experiment with other stuff you have the option I have not as yet.

A perfect way to start photography at any level
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have asked many friends about what camera to buy for beginner-level use, and all have recommended to me this camera. The Best Buy staff member provided me with all the details on the camera, and it definitely appeared to suit my preferences. It is extremely easy to use, even if you are totally new to photography.

1st DSLR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Needed to upgrade my current camera, did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions to make sure I was getting what I really wanted out of my first DSLR purchase. Have been extremely pleased with my new camera and enjoying getting to know all it's functions.

Nice Beginner DSLR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love and prefer my film camera, but I needed something that I could use for work too. Now that I've figured out how to manually adjust the settings - including turning off that awful flash - I've grown to really like it. It's easy to use and well priced.

THIS CAMERA IS AWESOME!

Excellent DSLR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fine entry level DSLR. I would never be without a variangle screen! It allows me to shoot over my head or down low and compose the frame. With image stabilization and auto focus this camera functions like a point and shoot but there is still complete manual control -have it your way. The lens choices are wonderful and you can upgrade to a higher end body and take the lens up too. It is too expensive but it is at the same price breaks as it's competitors which are also over priced.

Love, love this camera.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought it specifically to take photos at basketball games; am still learning, but, the basics have enabled me to take the quality photos I was aiming for when I brought it while still learning. I feel I am ready to dig deeper into what it can really do so will watch some online videos on the "how-to's". The zoom is ok, but does not get close enough in for the on-court action. I will add a stronger zoom piece and that should help for real close-up photos. Happy with my purchase.

I am by no means a professional photographer but I wanted to try my hand at taking some awesome photos. This is the perfect camera for a newbie to the DSLR camera scene. I love this camera and can't wait to keep taking awesome pictures with it!
