This is a great camera for beginners who are looking to make photography a hobby. The automatic options work wonderfully during those moments you don't have the time or inclination to fiddle with the settings. But when you do, there are plenty of manual settings to fully customize your shot. The camera also comes with numerous guides on successfully shooting different types of shots, which I appreciate.

I'm not worthy to be a serious reviewer of this product, as I'm just learning what all the photo jargon means. Let me just say excellent professional looking shots are pretty easy with this camera, and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of purchasing an SLR camera. I love the 18-135mm lens, as I'm usually just taking pictures of my wife and kid with it, seems as if I don't need any other lens. Maybe just a nifty 50 and a separate flash for simple bounce/diffused shots. No regrets on spending the premium for the lens or the newest model! Woohoo, new hobby!

It's a basic entry level camera, nothing too special about it. The reason why I say the grip is ok is because if you have long fingers like myself, the grip will have a gap between itself and your fingers. Weight is a bit too light for my tastes. I like my camera to have some weight to it, just to have that "I'm pro" feeling. Same goes for the size. Like I said, my hands are big, so I'd like it if the body was a bit bigger. The cons are really just preference.

You know when you see photos taken by other people and they have that 'pro' feel to them? The ones with great depth of field, cool blurry backgrounds with pin-sharp focus on things in the foreground? Shots of the moon that look like the photographer was sitting on a low-orbit satellite to take them because they're so clear you can count crater? This camera is the one to do that. Burst mode, great zoom, excellent speed, 'proper' camera which accepts big long lenses like you see the worst of the paparazzi wielding. Money well spent for us.

Bought this camera for my wife for her birthday, she loves it! It has good, solid construction with a nice finish, has a good weight to it, and plenty of features to explore. The lens it comes with works wonderfully, and provides incredibly clear photos! This makes for a great camera to get into photos, and to an extent, some video as well since it shoots in 1080p!

I am really enjoying my new camera. I'm a Realtor and needed something that would allow me to take amazing pics of homes. I still have a TON to learn about it, but I'm slowly getting there. Auto is great!! I do wish a cheat guide would've come with it that was simple to understand for basic settings of the camera.
