best camera ive ever had
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is literally the best ive ever used. It still amazes me and ive had it for quite a few months now. The flip out screen is SOOO handy, its ridiculous i hate using other peoples cameras now because im so accustomed to the luxury of being able to turn the screen if i have to hold the camera up high, or low, or to take a picture of myself i can flip the screen around and see myself instead of guessing if its accurate! ha, and the pictures come out crystal clear every time. i have a mac and having the pictures in hd on my huge screen is my favorite, i love showing friends my pictures that way, you really can see every atom of everything haha. one of the only downsides id say is autofocus is kind of slow and doesnt always work, but i just dont use it. manual focus is super easy, its just a pain when i have someone else take a picture of me somewhere and they arent the best with cameras, to have a good autofocus to help them out would be handy but its fine. sound on videos is fantastic, and the image is just as high quality as the photographs. it takes really good pictures in low lights, without the flash, and theres a lot of settings to help you out no matter where you are. it did take me a while to figure out how to adjust everything in the camera settings but now its great! i will honestly have this camera until it breaks on me, which by the way i have accidentally hit it on a few doors and had it bump into a few things and it isnt at all damaged. not saying you should throw it around obviously, but its not super fragile ! anyways just figured id post this so incase anyone was not sure if they should spend the money or not, you DEFINITELY SHOULD, you will forget about the price as soon as you see how clear and perfect your pictures turn out with this. honestly a life changing camera, love love LOVE it <3 ill attach some photos ive taken so you can see what i mean. enjoy (:

Great starter DSLR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is awesome. I took it with me on my South Lake Tahoe trip last year and got amazing photos. Ever since then, I have used this camera and my phone camera interchangeably. I use my phone camera for when I'm on the go and am taking a quick snapshot of something. This DSLR camera is for pretty much when I want to capture solid memories. The video on it looks great as well. It's a little bit big though, but it's a DSLR, so that's kind of expected. Overall, it's a really great camera and pretty easy to learn if you use it often. (I'm sure I'm still not utilizing all of its functions, but I'm excited to!)

Amazing DSLR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was originally planning to purchase the t2i, but the options of the swivel screen and a few others really appealed to me and I opted out and waited for the t3i to be released. I am glad I waited, I really like this camera and it takes amazing pictures! The saying is true plan on spending your money in glass if you want to have professional looking pictures. I also purchased the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L USM Lens which blows away the stock lens in picture quality! The professional Canon L Series Lenses are very expensive but if your looking for the best picture quality out of your camera plan to purchase one! This camera turned out to be everything I was looking for and then some. If your looking to buy this camera or compare it to the t2i visit dpreview they have a great comparison and review online.

Amazing Canon camera!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first DSLR professional camera and can't believe how amazing it is. Very simple to use and so many features to take professional looking photographs. I would recommend watching tutorial videos online for tips and instructions on using all the modes in this camera.

Exceptional quality, options and easy interface
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW the T3i is smokin' hot! The quality of the images even with the basic kit lens 18-55mm is excellent, and I dream of the day I buy my next upgraded lens and how my images will look. The amount of options on this camera is insane yet so very easy to use!. I've quickly advanced myself into the M mode as there is more flexibility and control for creativity. Night shooting has become a new passion and the low light results are superb! The articulating LCD is awesome, especially for low angle macros and shots aimed upwards. I haven't used the video yet, but look forward to learning the ins and outs, and how to perfect it as I can only say good things about this camera. Way to go Canon...I love you even more!

Been waiting for the price drop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched a DSLR for almost a year. When I read reviews and found it to have all the features I wanted, I jumped on it. I've had this camera for about 4 hours, and have already found it easy to use and shoots amazing video and photos. The things I wanted was ease of use for me since it is my first DSLR, flip/rotate lcd screen, bulb mode, and good movie shooting (besides the loud focus motor). You will want a mic if you plan on changing focus with video. But, this is not a "video camera" is it.

Amazing, but some flaws.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My camera is everything i wanted!!! The pictures some out amazing. I would only suggest that if you take alot of pictures like me, buy a bigger flash, but it has heated up and it wont take the picture. And as your time goes on, you'll want a bigger lens; depending what youre taking pictures of. The battery last basically forever!! I did have to send in my camera though last week because the lens would not focus and when that happens, it wont take the picture. So hopefully it works when I get it back.

Great Camera for sports
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this camera! After spending several days researching cameras I had came down to 2 this one and the Canon - EOS Digital Rebel T3. I finally decided on this camera after talking with the sales associate. I take a lot of basketball pictures and most of the gyms are really dark. WIth this camera I can take pictures in low light settings without even using the flash and they come out perfect. And there is no blurring. With the pictures below it is straight out of the box before changing settings. This gym is really dark. Most of the pictures I take are fast acting so the speed of this camera was really important to me. The video is great too. Its crisp and you can follow the actin without any blur. You could even hear the coach on the other side of the gym yelling at my daughter not to reach. The pictures are crisp on the MV setting. Sports mode is good but I perfer the crisp pictures as to the ones with the action a little blurre. The sutter sound is a little loud in the video when you take a picture while recording, but I wouldn't be recording a lot anyway. So that is not an issue.

Picture quality is outstanding!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is incredible. It beats any other. I have been using the older Canon model for years for business and this T3I is so much better. It is easy to use, picture quality is amazing and the sport feature takes pictures faster than I can say boo. I have captured my daughters sleding the day after our recent snow storm and I caught wonderful memories. I can't wait to use this camera when my daughter starts travel soccer again outside. I haven't yet gotten the chance to explore all features but I can tell it will be easy to understand and use. Happy photographing!!

Excellent DSLR for beginners
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon T3i is an awesome camera and would highly recommend as a first time buyer who is just looking into getting a DSLR camera. The camera is very simple to use and takes excellent photos both in the day and night. It has a great battery life, was on vacation for 3 days and between 300-400 shots later with and without flash I still had a lot of juice left in the battery. The fact that this also has a screen that folds out and flips over makes it easy for self portraits and also with the built in IR for wireless photography which makes it easier for those family portraits instead of using the timer on it. It has a lot of features and the fact that it's Full 1080 HD with HDMI connection makes this camera a very good investment.

GREAT entry level DSLR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first DSLR camera so I dont have any others to compare it to. This being said, the price point makes it a great first choice. I have always wanted to get in to photography. Pre- digital, it was just too dang complicated, not to mention expensive for me to get interested enough to drop big bucks on a camera, then sink a bunch of money into film and development and such. But with digital, its nearly endless and fairly cheap to play around and shoot to your hearts desire. All you have to do with the picture that dont turn out is delete them. So, back to the camera. I bought one of these with the 18-55mm lens on sale. After flipping through the manual, I was completely confused. I understood shutter speed, but thats about it. What the heck was ISO and F stop? I found a really handy online guide (Google ATP DSLR guide). Within a few hours of reading the guide and screwing around, i was pretty dialed in. I have taken the camera out several times now and am getting to the point where i can take a picture, then look at it at home and think, "Wow, I took THAT?!" This camera takes great pictures with crisp clear edges, full vibrant colours, and has enough features to really have some fun with making some creative shots, You have to try long exposure water fall and night time traffic shots. It takes great macro, portrait, landscape, nighscape pictures. Once you learn how F stops, ISO and shutter speeds work, it take good low light shots too. I have yet to find something I cant do with this camera. Adding a good telephoto lens, and maybe the f1.4 50mm lens to your set up, a tripod, some UV and polarizers, and maybe a remote shutter release/timer and you will be well armed to go out in the world and shoot anything and everything that captures your eye like a pro and all for under $1000 (for the set up I mentioned, even check reputable used sources to save more!) I am really loving having a camera of this calibre. Even the feel or drilling in on your "target" and the snap of a REAL shutter nearly matches the "Holy Cow" feeling when you see your first (and ever after) pro looking shot pop up on your HD computer screen. Keep in mind it is bigger, and heavier than your normal point and shoot, but if you want a nicely featured camera with swapible lenses, this is a great set to get your feet wet. If you only want to have a camera to have in your pocket/purse to whip out and snap a quick shot here and there without need for multiple lenses or more advance fiddling, check out a nice compact P&S like the SX510.

Great Camera for a beginner
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After testing out my new camera I was extremely happy with it. All of the photos I have taken so far have came out with this crisp, noticeable quality. The settings are pretty easy to figure out,and the camera has a nice grip, which comes in handy if you are going on long trips. The only downfall I have experienced with this camera is that is very loud when you take photos, but you should eventually get used to it. : ) Here are some photos I took in Costa Rica that are not edited.

Amazing Camera!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this camera about two weeks ago when they were having a sale on HSN and I could not be happier. I got a two lens bundle (the basic 18-55mm and 75-300mm or something like that) and they both produce really amazing pictures. My boyfriend is really into BMXing and this camera got amazing shots, capturing him in midair. It can be a little confusing at first, or maybe that's just because I didn't look at the little manual that came with it, and the flash produces terrible red eye, which is a pain, but once you get the hang of it, it's really easy to take pics like a pro. And even though the tilty screen is a plus, I don't find myself using it that often. Regardless, I would recommend this camera to anyone looking to buy a great, cheap-ish DSLR.

This is my first DSLR and my wife & I are stoked!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thank you Canon for making such a fine camera. My wife and I wanted a camera other than our Iphones to take quality photos of our newborn son to print out and share with the Grandparents and holy moley...we are super happy with the T3i. I spent about a week and a half learning the 3 most important elements of a DSLR (shutter speed, aperature and ISO) and now I'm shooting in full manual mode and we are impressed and happy with the huge difference of clarity and quality between our Iphone cameras and this camera. I've been a point and shoot guy for quite awhile now and I'm super stoked that I've been able to step up to a professional quality camera.

AWESOME CAMERA!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera for my wife because she's been begging for it for I don't know how long. Turns out this camera is AWESOME. It's an 18 megapixel camera but you'd think it was more. You can capture so many details with it. And also, I love how you can adjust the settings perfectly to fit your scene. We paid $549.99 for it on sale and I wouldn't have minded paying more. Seriously great camera. I would absolutely recommend it. Not to mention the amazing lenses you can buy for it.

My first DSLR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first DSLR. I was able to take some really nice looking photos after tinkering with it for a while. Didnt take me too long to figure out the basic functions, and soon I was taking very nice looking specialty shots. The 1080p video is great also, and the flip out screen really helps with taking video

Great Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find that this camera is easy to use and the picture quality is very good. The battery life is good and my experience is that it lasts for a longer period than most of the others that I have experience with. The camera features and functions such as the screen that opens out, makes it easy for an amateur to handle. It is exceptionally good when taking sports photos. I suggest getting a fast card if your primary use is for multiple frame images.

Easy to use, good photos, great for newbies
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a Canon fan for years and adored how the Ti series (T2i, T3i, T5i, et al) all have cross-compatible batteries, lenses, et al. I had looked at Canon's higher-end prosumer sibling (T5i) and while it had more features, faster response time for actions shots, etc, the sensor was just the same - meaning that the T3i a far better prospect IF one isn't doing action shots or rapid exposures, since the buffer fills up after 3 photos are taken. But, if I did sports shots, the T5i is one I might seriously recommend. I upgraded from Canon's immediate predecessor, the T2i, whose motor developed a problem after 3 years. :( The T3i features a flippable LCD screen, and a good array of on-camera button controls that are easy to learn and work with when out in the field. The fact they're by and large similar to the T2i didn't hurt, but it was a breeze to configure bracketed exposure and other settings, even in dark environments. This IS a budget-minded camera, so seeing iffy results with ISO 1600 (which get worse at 3200, 6400) was a disappointment - if you do landscape shots in dark environments THEN this camera might not be ideal for you. I can't think of much to really nitpick other than what I've already mentioned. It's a good camera, and if you can get it with the 75-300mm lens with Image Stabilization as part of a bundle, it's so much the better.
