I have been using it for a month now, I find that the dial helps. Using the settings such as close-up, landscape, etc has allowed me to try things that I had not try with my film camera and if you don't like simply erase it. I am still working with some of the features on so that i can set the camera up for cloudy days like the manuel show and other functions but so far it is easy to follow.

For my first time DSLR, I am very confident that this photography hobby isn't going to be as hard as I thought. The Canon Rebel t3i is easy to use and great for beginners. The guidebook can answer many questions and the helpful booklets are helpful for other photographic challenges like lighting and backgrounds and even when to use flash. I highly recommend this any person just starting out.

Yet another great product from Canon and the Rebel series! I think this is the 3rd camera of this generation we have in our family. Canon has proved itself worthy in my book of copy machines and cameras. Their lens and digital mechanics are simply the best.

I love this camera. I had been looking for a replacement for my old camera for a while. This went on sale ~$300 off and I couldn't pass it up. It has all the features I was looking for and takes excellent pictures. I haven't gotten any additional accessories for it, but knowing that I can is very important.

Camera is a great beginner's camera and the ease of using it makes it a lot of fun. Great pictures have been produced so far. The extra lens I bought brings things in very close with no loss of quality.

I had been wanting a Rebel for awhile but just didn't have the money to spend on it. I started getting back into taking pictures again so I decided it was time to invest in one. The T3i is worth every penny I spent. It's easy to use and takes amazing pictures. I couldn't be more happier with the choice I made.

This camera works very well for someone just learning to do photography. The combination of photo quality, ease of use and price are great. It is also very easy to change lenses and is not overly heavy.

It's my first time using an DSLR. It was very user friendly. There's an auto option where the camera does the calibration for you. It gets more interesting when you start manually changing the menu options manually. It's fun and exciting for a new beginner.

It's a good overall camera for someone wanting to use an SLR Digital. I'm pretty new at the SLR part, so learning how to adjust things. I found that using the auto didn't work well unless it was perfect conditions. I had lots of blown-out pictures where there was too much light when using Auto mode...and lots of blurry pictures as well. I have to learn more on how to use it to be satisfied. I keep going back to my Canon Powershot for ease of use. Need more time with it.

It's easy to use and the pictures are flawless straight out of the camera!

Could be I haven't found it yet, but no easy way to override auto-focus when it picks the wrong object. Use it for sports pictures from a distance.
