Well, I just upgraded to the T3i yesterday from the Xti. I have not really played with the video on it, because thats what video cameras are for and I need a better card. Out of all the reviews I've read, i didnt see a single review about ISO's. So heres my little take on that. Noise levels are better than my Xti, the noise level at ISO 400 on my Xti is ISO 800 on the T3i. When you look at the photos in say Adobe Camera RAW at 100%, noise does show up at ISO 200 already. with the T3i. I love the live view as when you make exposure/shutter and ISO adjustments, you will see the exposure in real time. The T3i is a great camera for the price

Great in between point/shoot and professional

I was looking for a camera in between my Minolta Maxxum DSLR and my Lumix point and shoot. This is perfect. So far I think the picture quality is as good as the Minolta, possibly better and it is lighter and easier to use. It is more intuitive and fast....more like a point and shoot, but the other features are there if you need them. Haven't used it long, but I am very very pleased so far.

(As per my wife) The camera was purchased primarily for taking photos photos for my online business as well photos at concerts where manual controls is a must because of stage lights. Though I haven't been able to use it in a concert setting yet, for photographing products it has performed beautifully. I did take it out when taking the kids for a walk and got lots of fantastic photos of them jumping in puddles (while I was safe and dry a good distance away!) with such great clarity that each drop of water is perfectly defined with no blur at all.

Although a lot of people think the Canon T3i is only for beginners I would disagree. I have shot both Nikon and Canon camera's for 30 years now and I love the T3i. While I do have better quality camera's I find myself taking the T3i with me a lot. Main reason is that I am tired of carrying my heavier DSLR camera's with me. The T3i weighs very little and when you pair it with good glass it does an amazing job capturing images.

I bought this camera for videography. I have been super pleased. Picture quality is great for DSLR under $600. Shooting full HD video, rotating screen. Plus its a canon and there are a ton of upgrade options for lenses and accessories. The only trouble I have had is the kit lens only opens to 3.5 on the F stop and in lower light the ISO past +800 is super noisy. I upgraded my lens to a sigma 30mm 1.4 and have had no issue. Great camera for the price.

I Love this camera. I was getting so tired of my old digital camera with it's delayed picture taking and resetting for a new picture. With this camera I just point and shoot. Instant picture. I also purchased it as my daughter will be taking photography next year at school and it's one the school recommends. I can't wait so that she can show me all the features built into it. There are so many buttons and control settings that for a beginner can be overwhelming. But certainly do not let that deter you from buying. Great camera at an affordable price!

I have no previous experience with SLRs so there is lots to learn. But even just stumbling through the settings and using the presets has given me quite a few pictures that I am really really proud of so far. The only thing I am mildly disappointed in is the built-in Flash. It is sort of weak and has a very limited field. I feel an external flash should be purchased immediately with this camera for the best results.

This DSLR is super easy to use. I use it at our nonprofit and I am not a professional. It can be set to auto and then you are good to go. I did buy an external flash which really improves the picture quality. People do not look washed out. The flash on the camera is good but buying an extra flash is worth it.

This is my first DSLR camera. I compared with the "newer" T4i and decided for my purposes the T3i more than fit the bill and obviously there was a cost savings. So far I have loved this camera! The photos are excellent and features are extensive. There is a bit of a learning curve for the more advanced features, but that was to be expected. What I liked is you can use this camera right out of the box as it has the "auto" setting, but then you can explore all the other available features as you "learn the ropes". I have never loved how built it flash washes out pictures so I recommend an external flash or at least a diffuser for the pop up flash.

The camera is simple to use. You can take it out of the box and start taking photos. At the same time, it is great for more advanced users as there are plenty of features to give you great control over every photo.

I was looking for a camera that I could take pictures of the grandkids and not have to deal with out of focus pictures. This camera is fantastic. So far it seems easy to use. I bought it the day before my granddaughters birthday party and I didn't have any problems getting great pictures the next day.

My second SLR camera and it takes beautiful photos. It is very easy to use and just using it on the auto feature still takes stunning photos. Would recommend to anyone looking for something cheap but also for high end photos too.

This is a solid, reliable camera. There are more impressive cameras out there if you've got the money. But this is a very satisfying camera. Takes great pictures. T5i feels clumsy in its size. SL1 feels like it's missing something. Canon hasn't improved on the T3i yet in this price range.

I love this camera! It is definitely a great camera for beginners, but also for those who want to take professional quality photos without emptying the bank. It is a good camera to learn on and is highly capable and still relevant once you have learned what you are doing.

I love this camera. I bought it to take pictures of my new born son. I love this camera because I spent the time to learn how to use all the adjustments for photos, but my husband can take pictures and just point and shoot. Everytime I show people photos that I have taken they think they are so great. But, really the picture quality is what makes everything amazing. I tell everyone how much I love this camera.

This purchase was made in a rush and didn't research it too well. Very happy with the camera, but didn't realize that the zooming capability was so limited. Will have to purchase a separate lens for the future. Easy to use and takes great high quality pictures and video.
