I love this camera. For my money, Canon puts out the best product, and for this amount of money, you won't find a better camera than this.

This is a great beginner DLSR, with lots of features to learn. I recommend getting one of the "Dummies" books or something from David Busch.

updated from my previous camera. WOW, did not realize the quality that I was mission out on. Excellent photos. Only thing I didn't like was to many options, still trying to learn them all but I don't take photos that often so i forget what I learned by the time I need it again.

Being a beginner, and with all of the choices out there, Canon was the easiest to pick up and learn and get excellent quality photos.

Camera preforms well and has easy to follow directions, store clerk was very helpful in our decission to buy this particular model.

Camera is great but lenses in the package need to be upgraded to something useful not just generic stuff that comes with any camera that you immediately have to upgrade.

Overall, the camera is pretty great. Why I won't go as far as "Excellent"... I love that you have the option of Live View shooting, but when enabled, my camera will almost never actually take the photo. And if it is able to, it takes a minute or two to actually "focus" on the subject. So it's kind of pointless in my mind unless it is used specifically as a reference point, then switched to the manual view to actually take the photo. The (my) camera is rather loud. You can pretty much hear the lens focusing and shutter from a mile away. So it's not a great camera for subtle photographs during ceremonies and such.

I was surprised at the overall function ability of the camera. Easy to use. Great price.

I got this camera because my grandchild and puppy move too fast, with this canon I can get at least 10 great shots! I love it.

She is a novice as am I, and this camera is very user friendly. A friend helped is with settings, and very much are enjoying it.
