Love this camera!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought our camera before an international trip for our daughter's wedding, so we were photographing the locale and the event. We used this camera in light and darkness, video and stills, close ups of flowers and brpad landscapes, from moving vehicles and walking on the sidewalk. We used fully automatic most of the time but manual focus and other manual settings in some situations. We are very happy with all the results. It is so easy to use and the best photos we have ever had.

Excellent Price, Excellent Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, What an amazing product! We had a Rebel XT for 3 years. Brought this one to upgrade our older camera,(which we still use). The picture quality is amazing at 18megapixels, The features are on par with the more expensive canons, And as always the lens are all interchangeable. We have been a long time customer of Canon products. They have excellent equipment, excellent service, and Best Buy had the best price! You cant go wrong with this T3i !

Great camera for a non-professional
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a mom who loves great shots but doesn't have the eye of a professional photographer, I feel like this is the perfect camera. Auto setting works great but has plenty of options for those who want to play with the features. I usually use the non-flash mode bc I prefer the natural lighting. Great SLR for the price!

Greatest Camera EVER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are tired of point-and-shoot cameras and want to move up to bigger and better things, this is the camera for you. It is very easy to use. The quality is amazing and you will never regret your purchase. I am very cheap and had a hard time paying the $1200 for it. However, It is probably the best investment I have ever ever made. If you are considering NIKON also, just keep in mind that the T3i is easier to use.

Great pictures
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The quality of pictures are spetacular... apart the easy of use, never compare this camera to regular digital camera. Lots of resources, but focused in picture's quality. It's really easy to take excellent pictures even for an amateur. Only miss an option to take pictures in a regular interval (user defined). Consider an extra flash for night pictures.

Amazing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought my Sony DSLR was an awesome camera but it doesn't compare to my new T3i! Amazing!!! I really need some lessons on how to use all the features. The pictures are soo clear and the built in features to change the looks of your photo's are really awesome too! I am in love!! I wish there would have been a dvd that told you more about the features. Oh well....I recommend this camera!

I Love this Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera for our upcoming cruise to Alaska. I bought the bundle with the memory card, backpack carrying case, and extra telephoto lens. It takes wonderful clear photos. This is my first DSLR camera and it's very user friendly. I loved the fact that it's also a HD video camera. I see getting a lot of use out of this camera. I have noticed that it's easier to take pictures using the eye view finder instead of with Live view. It takes longer to focus using live view.

Incredible camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Cannon T3i about 4 weeks ago. Since then I have taken shots of the kids in mid-air jumping into the pool, water skiing, portraits, and some airplanes at an airshow. I am amazed at the quality and the ease of use. It's very easy to look like a pro. Hardest problem is choosing which shots to delete. I recommend at least an 8GB SD card. One note of caution, I purchased the combo pack with the 300mm zoom lens. A camera-smart friend of mine pointed out that the lens did not have image stabilization (IS). The short lens that the camera came with has it, just not on the long lens. I have noticed package deals on this camera that have IS. Not sure why the lens I have didn't have it. I can't tell the difference, taking excellent shots. I highly recommend this camera.

Beginners Dream Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first DSLR camera that I've owed. The T3i camera is a very easy camera to use and takes great pictures. I've had this camera for a little over a month and have literally taken thousands of pictures. Some of the pictures that I have taken look like a pro...some of my friends can't believe it when I tell them that I took some of the pictures that I am showing them. Overall, if you have the budget and are the least bit interested in photography, this is an unebelievable camera. Highly recommended for beginners.

Superb Entry-level DSLR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife was tired of missing photographic opportunities with her point-and-shoot but didn't want to deal with my Canon 20D with multiple L-series lenses. We set out to find an alternative that would be able to capture images quickly, easily, and with respectable quality. We went to BestBuy to try out a number of Compact System cameras (Nikon 1, Sony NEX-5N, Olympus E-PM1, etc.). The Sony really had our attention with focus and shutter speeds nearing SLR performance, however the reported battery life left a lot to be desired. Although my wife was looking for a compact system, I managed to get her over to the true SLRs. She picked up the T3i, took several snaps, and was immediately sold. The focus and shutter speed were exactly what she wanted to grab those shots of our mischievous little boy. We have since travelled extensively with the camera, and continue to be delighted. Colors are crisp, images are sharp, and it's portable enough to keep in the diaper bag. The biggest disappointment with the camera is the focus speed while in LiveView (as slow to focus as older point-and-shoots). Second to that is the horrid lens focus sound picked up by the camera's internal mic when shooting video.

Best in Price Range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Photography has been a long time hobby of mine starting with my own darkroom while I was in high school. After much research I came down to the t2i or the t3i. I had previous bad luck with my last Nikon computer chip failing and I loved what I had seen coming from the Canons. I ultimately choose the t3i because of the rotating screen since I intend to use it for video as well and screen angles are often important in those situations. Frankly, I'm in love. The very first picture was taken blindly since I was trying to catch my son off guard (he hates cameras). It's beautiful. Even worth framing in my opinion. It's hard to take bad photos with this camera. If you know what you're doing you can have as much control as you wish and even if you donn't the automatic modes never fail. I have noticed some of the default modes seem a little more saturated than reality but it always looks nice. If your goal is a perfect color reproduction, you might need to play a little but for consistantly great looking photos, you can't go wrong. Get a telephoto lens if you want close ups.

Fantastic Picture Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third DSLR camera I've owned, and by far it's the best. Excellent value for the money, easy to use, and picture quality is excellent - crisp and clear and better than average low light capablity means more realistic indoor shots not washed out by flashes. Outdoor action / movement shots are also surperb. If you're moving up from a compact camera, this is the choice for you and you'll wonder why you waited so long...

Great Camera!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had my camera for a few days but I really love it! The screen is perfect size, the pictures turn out crystal clear and the settings are unreal! If I could change anything about it I would make the flash a little bigger but that is an easy fix if you just get an external flash. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing. Great camera and great value!!!! Worth every penny!

Great step up from point and shoot...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first digital SLR, so the feature set and operation are a bit daunting. The product manual is not sufficient to get a good understanding of the operation of the camera. I am taking online classes specificially for the T3i in addition to basic exposure theory and lenses. I would highly recommend to anyone purchasing this unit who is unfamiliar with product. With this said, my first efforts using the auto mode and 'P' mode have been spectacular. With each new feature explored, the intuitive layout of the operating buttons become apparent. It is unlikely that I will go to full manual and thus far nothing in the operation of the camera suggests this is necessary. This camera is an excellent next step in transitioning from point and shoot.

AWESOME, EXCELLENT CAMERA.. THANKS CANON
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera Rocks...It is very easy to use, takes great pictures and wow the HD 1080p Video is wonderful. The features are comparable to high end expensive cameras the only difference is the price. For beginners, amateurs and even pros will fall in love with this camera. Canon is simply the best camera manufacturer and always will be. Great deal for the price, my professional photographer friend was blown away with the picture quality this camera can do. I am very happy with my purchase and dont let go of the special pricing deal and the bundled package.....

Fantastic Camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my T3i now for about 10 months and have been using it almost daily for a variety of things. It's been working perfectly, and has been well worth the cost (which is a fabulous deal overall). Controls are easy, it's not too bulky in my small-ish hands, which has made carrying it around for hours an enjoyable experience. Photo and video quality are excellent (video quality is actually way above-par). Definitely a great entry-level camera, and the 18-55mm kit lens is far better quality than some may be led to believe. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get started with a DSLR.

Great DSLR for a newcomer to manual operation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having used the Canon T3 to dabble in photography, I was looking for something that was feature laden, easy to pick up and use, and was a camera I could grow with as I become better at understanding compostions, lighting, etc. I feel that the T3i (600d outside the U.S.) is all of those things and more. I did pretty significant research for a number of weeks and ended up comparing this camera with the Nikon D5100. I finally went this way after one particular review demonstrated the differences in menu layout and ease of use in navigating between settings efficiently, and in time to capture the shots you set out to shoot. I committed to using the manual settings in an effort to better understand photography and to capture what I saw in my minds eye. All of those great shots you see in advertisements, posters, or just great pictures were what I hoped to begin to capture as I progressed (my guess is the majority of those weren't done with the auto settings or a point-and-shoot). Going into the menu of various settings is a single button push (marked Q, just to the right of the flip-out 3" screen). From there, adjustments to aperture, F-stop, Iso, white balance, resolution, etc., are as simple as selecting that setting, then scrolling the wheel located just behind the shutter button on top right of the body. I found that simply adjusting various settings slightly allowed me to capture the right shots. I have taken well over 3000 photos in the last 5 weeks since purchasing the camera, and I'm happy to report I can see improvement from day one til now. Very fun indeed. The beauty of digital photography is the ability to take hundreds of pictures in order to capture a few great ones. Let that be the reason to try the manual settings and see what this camera is truly capable of.
