This camera is easy to use, if you read the directions. It has many manual and automatic settings. The pictures are crisp and sharp. It has so many pixels that the pictures can be blown up without getting distorted. On a recent trip I was able to use the lenses to get extreme close up ups of flower petals and distant mountains. I still do not know everything this camera will do, but, I am very happy with what I do know about it. I love it.

For long time I am searching and compare DSLR cameras and at the end I decided to go with the Canon T3i. It is a great value for the price, have great features and not difficult to use at all.

I learned photography on a Canon Eos Rebel G (film camera), and still own that camera and a variety of Canon lenses that go with it. My wife decided it was time to buy more than a point and shoot digital so we decided to go with the T3i. The features for the price are amazing, and it is a great camera for her to learn on. Best of all, is that all of my old lenses are compatible with this new camera. If you are looking for some lenses to complement this camera I would recommend the EF 50mm f1.8 for portraits and great bokeh effect. The EF 28-135mm is a perfect everyday or walking around lense. You can take good close ups, and some medium distnace shots with it. The EF 70-300mm is a decent intro lense for long range shots. Once you've mastered these lenses you should save up for some L series lenses (much more expensive, but the highest quality). For real estate photography I would purchase a wide angle lense, and there are several to choose from that are good. We've used our T3i for family portraits, videos of the kids, wildlife photography, and real estate photography. For the price, I think it is a great camera, and I have recommended it to several friends.

    A Great Starter Camera

After a long time of debating we decided to finally upgrade from our 7 year old hybrid camera to a DSLR. After managing to reach the limits of our fixed lens hybrid we wanted to be able to do more which involved needing to have the option to change lenses and not just manipulate manual settings. This is the perfect camera for this. This camera has a lot of options without the out of our range price tag. I cannot speak for how well the kit lens works since I have not even unpacked it. We bought a couple extra lenses and I have been hooked on the 50mm. I have gotten some amazing pictures with this camera and the 50mm lens. If you are on the fence about whether or not to make the purchase, don't hesitate you will not regret the purchase for one mop inputs!

This is my first D-SLR, and it's been a great camera to learn on. It takes excellent pictures and is easy to use. My favorite function (so far) is the multiple shot action mode! I'm still learning how to use all the functions, but I'm impressed with it to date.

I bought my camera Thanksgiving night online. I received it about a week later. I spend about 10 minutes looking at and used it the next day. It was on automatic, but took beautiful pictures. During Christmas vacation I plan on spending time playing with it. I went to Best Buy and bought a video that goes step by step with you on how to do the different things with it. I did spend a little time with it. It seems very helpful. I plan on looking at it a little bit more though.

I always wanted to take better pictures. I finally decided to get a good camera and I'm glad I got this one! This is a great camera. The build quality is excellent. When held it feels solid. The images are off the charts compared to a point and shoot. The amount of control you are given is amazing. I have had zero problems with it. I would get an extra battery and couple 8GB class 10 memory cards. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking to get into photography.

A Lot of Camera and Features for Most People

We now have Five of these machines. Four are for technical use in my wife's business, the fifth is our son's camera that is his pride and joy. The user is going to get a lot features including digital video with this very moderately priced DSLR. The APS-C sensor size is what is used in many of the most popular amateur camera and most amateurs will be thoroughly satisfied with the variety of lenses and accessories that this camera can accomodate. Most owners should be pleased and not suffer any buyer's remorse for spending under a thousand dollars. On the other hand this is not a high end DSLR with a full size sensor, so try and put in perspective that you are getting good value for your money

    Best DSL

This is a great camera with a lot of great features. I am a big and loyal canon fan. The only real thing I can say about this camera and a few others of this model I have seen is that the plastic around the USB and Mini-HDMI port do not line up with the port itself very well so you have to be careful when plugging in a USB or Mini-HDMI cable. I have seen this issue on more then one Canon Rebel T3i and canon does not consider it a defect or an issue which is not good as if the port breaks when you plug something into it and have to push it good since the port and opening dont line up, Canon will not warranty this and considers it physical damage. Canon needs to pay attention to these little details.

This is the only camera that reminds me of my old Canon A1 35mm. It operates very closely to that 35 and has very similar funtions. With the added bonus of new electronic things you can do, it is actually a better camera. As an OLD 35mm fan, I never thought I would move to digital but after seeing and playing with my daughter-in-laws camera, I went right out and bought the exact camera. I had to learn that your quality is only as good as the memory cars you buy. The one it comes with is awesome but with the larger memory in a 32gig, you can shoot forever.

I am worse than an amateur. I am worse than a newbie! I have no idea how to run a camera other than a SIMPLE point and shoot. Why did I get this camera? Well, my kids are in sports. I was worried because this thing is huge! (compared to my other little-bitty cameras) I took it out of the box and it worked! Granted, I am not using all the setting that I can be using. The point being, I am not totally intimitated to try to learn more about my camera. I was so worried I would NEVER get to the point of being able to take a picture because there are so many buttons. I could use it right away. Even someone like me!!

This is my first DSLR camera, and I am quite impressed. It takes really impressive shots, even on the automatic settings. Video quality is also great. It even takes good night shots/dim lighting shots. I use it to take pictures of kids, animals, family Christmas card shots, and more! I would definitely recommend it for first time users or anyone who would like a nice, steady, consistently good camera. :)

I'm not a professional by any means, but this camera is great for taking family gathering pictures and just about anything else. We're planning to use it to take some wedding photos as well. The image quality is fantastic and there are quite a bit of features (haven't tried to use them all yet). Overall a great camera for the price.

you dont need to have a heavy and expensive camera to be a professional photographer, its not about the camera but the photographer to capture a great shot, i love my rebel t3i light to use , and easy to use. to me nikon and canon are almost the same, canon are a little easier to use and very light.. THANK YOU CANON

This is a lot of camera for the price. The picture quality is superb. I have been really impressed by the image stabilisation in the kit lens it really works well espically in low light when shooting without a flash. If you are a canon user moving up from one of their creative compacts you will find familiar menus, symbols and settings. This camera offers a lot of potential so read the manual and experiment. The video mode does not have an an active auto focus while filming other than that I love this camera.

Great camera. The picture quality is fantastic. Even at ISO 3200 (no flash, dark room). There are so many features it will take weeks to figure them all out :) If you are looking for a camera to make the leap from point-and-shoot to SLR, this is the one. Just a note, the camera takes much better pictures if you use the actual viewfinder. If you are looking for something where you can just use the LCD screen to shoot pictures, this camera is probably not the one for you.
