    Simply Amazing

I'd consider myself an advanced beginner/novice and just switched from a point-n-shoot sony to the Canon t3i and all I can say is wow. The instant noticeable improvement in image sharpness and clarity is amazing. I have had some issues with dark sense being fuzzy but I'm sure that's my lack of understanding all the settings. The only legitimate issue I have come across is recording video in HD at 60 fps. I have a class 10 64 gb card and it isn't able to record fast enough so the recording stops automatically. On lower fps it works fine. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because of the price. Best Buy has the list price at $929.99 while the MSRP from the canon website is $899.99. If you explain that to the sells person they will match the price for you, but I don't think it's fair they try to take an extra $31 from their costomers.

I would no longer get a point and shoot camera. This is my first dlsr camera loing it I would recommend to my friend and family if they can afford it. It will take me time to get used to it and the function. I haven't put it down yet,

I got the camera as a replacement for an older point and shoot Canon, was able to get at a good price online $120 off reg price. Features abound and are relatively easy to use. Great picture quality and able to shoot full HD video is a plus as is the ability to connect an external flash.

Better than the t2i as far as features and built in filters. Audio levels is something the 7D, 5D, and t2i do not have. This was only a 100 bucks or so more than the t2i. It is worth spending the extra money! I will say it is much better to just get the body and then buy the sigma 30mm. The kit lens is great if you want a total package and to start shooting right out of the box, however, for better images and video prime lenses are the best! Remember that you should invest in not only a good camera but more over the glass of a lens!!

My husband bought this camera for my birthday this year and it is amazing, i have never had a REAL camera before and this one works like a charm. It works well inside and outside. I live in upstate NY so we love our outdoors and the pictures are just brilliant! Great buy and the pictures come out better than i could ever hoped for :)

Despite being a novice, I am taking great pictures and learning a lot as I go. I purchased a DVD that helps explain some of the settings in greater detail. I found it to be very helpful.

Everyone we spoke with said if ur not taking professional pics this is a great camera. They where right!!!! It takes great fast pace soccer pictures and I can't wait to use it for the up coming base/softball season. We've done some pretty GREAT LOOKING nature pics!!!

I do not have a lot of experience with DSLR cameras, but so far it has been fairly easy to figure out. Picture quality is tremendous and superior to any other camera we have used. Because i haven't used any other DSLR i can't compare them, all i can say is it has been a pleasure to use and has done everything advertised.

I've had this camera for three weeks. It's my first slr but have used a powershot for years. not such a great jump in learning curve but got tutorial to help with any intimidation of all the options. sharp pics that have good depth and pop. I considered the 60D and read a lot of comparison reviews. no buyer's remorse yet.

    An outstanding camera

I did a lot of research before buying the camera. After using it for several weeks, I can definitively say the picture quality is far superior to any of the small, portable or cell phone cameras. The picture clarity is phenomenal. I have no experience and am far from a professional but I have already managed to take some spectacular pictures with no skills. I was using the camera within minutes of taking it out of the box and have slowly learning the various features of the camera. Battery life is good and interface to the computer is very straight forward. The software, which I've just started using, is pretty powerful but a bit intimidating at first. Camera weight is good. I do a bit of hiking and so I bought a Tarmac camera bag which holds the camera, a zoom lens, and multiple filters as well as the laptop plus a compartment for whatever you want. It's a great camera and I have zero reservations about buying it. Will never go back to a pocket camera again!

Easy to Use Out of the Box

I only recently purchased this camera and took it with me on vacation before reading any of the manual. It was easy to use out of the box and the pictures turned out well. I am sure once I actually read the manual and figure out the camera, my pictures will only get better....but for point and shoot, it still works great. Since I haven't used the camera enough, my ratings reflect that. I feel this will be a good camera which will offer many benefits (I just didn't want to over or under rate it).

So far so good. I upgraded to this SLR when my Nikon point and shoot crapped out on me. I have no experience with photography but found it easy to pick up this camera and start taking beautiful photos. Quality camera with lots of features. But you'll probably need an additional lens if you want any sort of zoom.

I am a novice photographer and I had some difficulties getting started with this camera, but it wasn't really the camera's fault that I didn't have a clue about photography. Once I became used to the camera I fell in love! A great camera.

Okay, this is my first DSLR and I didn't buy it for photos but for doing interviews. Wow is all I can say and for the money it was the best deal out there. Get prime lenses though for that great look and you don't have to buy them at first you can rent.
