Great for stills/video a bust

I communicated this to the salesman who actually steered me away from a different dslr because it had a recording time limit for video. Well, this one does as well. It's a shame I had to bring this back because it does take nice stills and the extra lense really rocks.

Good Starter DSLR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It did not take me long to take excellent photos with this camera, having used only point and shoot cameras before this one. Wasn't used to manually adjusting the lens, but I'm getting better at it. So far I am using the Auto and the Macro mode, but I have much to learn and hope to be able to graduate to some manual settings at some point.

There must have been a spot in the camera mirror inside the body itself. I exchanged it for the same model and that one was fine. Great pictures so far!

Great Camera for cameras

Waivered between Nikon and Canon and ended up going with Canon after watching CNET and reading some of the reviews. Looking forward to moving on to the next level of Canon cameras soon.
