This is my first camera other than a point-and-shoot. I am a die-hard Canon fan so I knew what I wanted brand-wise, but I wanted something a bit more advanced than beginner but not so over-the-top that i couldn't use it and this is perfect. Kudos to the salesman at Best Buy. He really knew his stuff and helped me make a purchase that I could use right out of the box and still give me a challenging and rewarding learning experience for a long time to come.

I'm an amature photographer and this is my first dslr. It is super easy to use and I love the picture quality.

So I'm a newbie when it comes to cameras overall, and i read endlessly before making this purchase so i went for it. I regret nothing!! This camera is an amazing starter camera, meaning I've had no trouble getting around it and figuring it out (still learning). I use it for pictures of my toddler (2y) and its so fast and captures everything. The quality is breathtaking and i now plan to do my own little photo shoots with it. I love it!!

Great camera for the money. Auto focus may need some work for shooting videos but other then that great!

This is my first professional-level camera, and I have found it incredibly easy to learn on. The features are hands-on and provide on-camera support (for example, each setting details what it is best used for) and the handbook that comes along is also very helpful. I feel like this will continue to be a great camera to learn on, because as I learn more it has the versatility and capability that I will start to master as I progress.
