Not happy at all. Staff in the store didn't want to help me keep passing me off. I will not be paying for this as you policy says if I'm not happy with my product

About two years ago, I took up photography as a new hobby. At that time, I bought a Canon Rebel T5. I felt my skills had improved so I bought the T6i as an upgrade. I really enjoy using the T6i. I especially love the touch screen controls. It's much easier to change settings because I don't have to remember how to do it. I just touch the "Q" and I'm able to make needed changes quickly and easily. I also like the wifi capability of this camera. I can send pictures to my phone or post pictures online platforms using my phone or tablet. I wish the process took fewer steps, but it is the same process as a point and shoot camera I own. There is a big difference between the sensor in the T5 and T6. The T6 pictures are so much sharper - even to my untrained eye. This is a good camera for beginners. It gives the novice photographer room to grow.

I have always been interested in photography, since highschool, but I never had the funds available to buy a nice DSLR camera like I wanted. I just couldn't justify buying a point & shoot when I knew I could save the money to put it towards what I really wanted. One day I realized I had enough money saved up to get one. I spent three days straight looking through hundreds of reviews, watching youtube videos, comparing the specs of the different cameras... and it came down to either this one (the t6i, my friend had the t5i and I liked it but the t6i had a few extra features that I figured would be worth the price difference, also it's always nice to have a newer model with newer tech) and a Nikon (D5300??? Something like that, can't remember it now). What made me choose this one is that even though the Nikon had more flexibility when it came to what it was able to do... this camera was more user friendly, specifically for beginners. When I was watching the tutorial videos on youtube, the Nikon was wonderful, but the price was almost $800 more, and on top of that this camera was compatible with many more brands of lenses and accessories than the Nikon was. The reason why this review isn't a "verified purchase" is because I actually didn't end up getting it through best buy. I got SUPER lucky and found a brand new one that hadn't been used, only taken out of the box) (full kit with lens and everything, they even included a lens hood for free!). The eBay seller purchased it from Best Buy only a month prior to me finding it, and they had not yet registered it online or activated the warranty through Canon. So it was brand new in the box (and I only paid $605, so YAY!) They didn't mind selling it for cheaper because it was a gift so technically any money back was profit to them. Regardless, even if this item is purchased in store, it's DEFINITELY worth it in my opinion. I haven't completely figured out ALL of the settings and configurations, but I have a basic knowledge of photography and this will be a super fun camera to learn with!

    Great camera! Easy to use!

I was nervous about getting this camera and not staying with a simple point and shoot type camera. But needed something to take great shots at high school sporting events from the bleachers. Not wanting to be on the sidelines trying to get pictures. I have ONLY had it a week and took over 500 photos at last weeks Varsity football game. The pictures were so clear, and with the 2 lens I bought with it in a bundle I was all set to shoot at the varsity football game and got some great shots. I only had to delete about 20-30 photos that were not clear and most were probably my error and not being ready at the time of trying to take a picture. Found the camera easy to use! Have not even looked at the manual yet so I am sure this camera can and will do way more than I will ever do with it. But it is the perfect camera for me to take pictures with for scrapbooks, etc..... And I dont even have to stand on the sidelines to get the GREAT shots! A friend bought a new camera at the same time but not the same one I got. She is returning hers because the pictures were not as good in all lighting conditions at a football game as mine were!

I love to take photos and videos. This camera Is amazing. I take youtube videos and the screen being able to rotate and face me helps a lot. Picture and video quality is really good. Photos I take look like someone professional took it. Not bad for beginners too.

    Great Quality Photos

Although I am a beginner with the DSLR, I am impressed with the quality of photos on the Auto setting. This is the first time I have ever taken pictures inside my home that are sharp and true to color. The camera is relatively easy to use and to review photos. I am also happy with the portrait/closeup function. Over time, I hope to use advanced functions, but for now, it's a great camera that should last many years.

I upgraded from the t1i to the new t6i and was amazed at the difference. The t6i has a great picture quality, indoors and outdoors. If you are not familiar with all the settings on the camera, the automatic setting will turn out beautiful images. Battery life is very good. At this price point I think this camera is a great value.

Very Good Camera - Our 1st DSLR

This is our first DSLR camera and is a great camera for our skill level (which is beginner to intermediate). It takes great pictures and is easy to operate. The kit lens is quite basic, but it has been a good place to start.
