My Cousin let me borrow his Canon T6I over the summer and i got to spend time with it. The camera feels really great in your hands, like it was made for you specifically. The camera picture quality is fantastic, nothing to complain about. Although it took me a little while to get used to how everything was arranged as i personally own a Nikon D3300. I decided to try the video mode on this camera to see if their is the auto focusing problem on this camera too which is that in my nikon, the auto focus is super loud. This camera handles it very well. Almost no audio when the camera focuses, which is great. Furthermore the auto focus on this camera is lightning quick. I didn't have a problem trying to focus on small objects or things.

Upgraded from a canon rebel xsi, the quality and the features alone blew me away. The remote shutter and viewing thats possible with the app from any mobile device allows me to perfect my shots from a distance, and allows for a larger viewing screen on my tablet. Amazing value, professional video quality and great focus ability. Priced under $800 for a 24.4 megapixel DSLR, this was my best purchase and investment for my freelance photography career ever!

I upgraded from a T1i to the T6i and am blown away! The WIFI option/app and flip-out screen are my favorite features so far. Will be taking it on vacation soon and can't wait to really see her in action. So far I have nothing but positives to say! Would highly recommend!

    Solid Camera

I purchased this film in an emergency situation to film a wedding. Normally I use a T2i and make short films for festivals or youtube and mostly shoot with a prime lens and everything in manual. However, since I make movies, on occasion I'll have a friend ask for a wedding video. Well, my wife took a trip and forgot and take my camera with her! So I was scrambing, liked everything about my T2i but was intrigued by the autofocus option on the T6i (something lacking on the T2i). It's not as fast for autofocus on a traditional video camera, but it's definitely a nice option to have. Overall, the T series cameras are fantastic. They are great entry level options for you to learn on that will just automatically improve your photos or videos over your old point and shoot camera, and as you improve you can also pull award winning footage from them as well.

I have absolutely no photography experience, but I really wanted some type of camera that would be able to take good pictures I could look back on (let's face it, who wants a photo album full of pixelated kids or kids that look like itty bitty ants). I got this camera, along with the 55-250mm lens. I've only used it once, but I got amazing pictures as a result. I took it to my niece's softball game and used the continuous picture option, and I was able to catch stunning photos. The zoom is phenomenal; I'm still struggling with the focusing aspect of it. But for day one of my adventures with this camera, I am completely satisfied. It's definitely worth the money, and the lens came at a sale price in store.

Had camera for a week took on vacation. 18-55 and 55-250mm lenses. Went to sandiego zoo rook lots of pictures. Went to Sea World next day had charged battery that morning and bought a stock cannon battery for back up. Half hour into shooting just stop working. Memory light worked that was it. No problem put back up battery in turned on memory light worked saw menu screen for 2 seconds dead. Lost all chances of taking pictures rest of trip especially dark one's. Wait I brought my AW130 Nikon point and shoot saved me except for indoor dark shoots or indoor action shoots. I am thinking of permantly saying bye bye to cannon I had a point and shoot before this dslr it would pixel all the time. No problems with my Nikon.

If you're looking in to getting a camera, as a beginner, I highly recommend to get a Canon. I found it to be a little less complicated than the Nikon. It's really a preference, but to me, Canon was the way to go.
