This is not a bad camera for a beginner. The kit lenses are extremely convenient to receive with the body. I was not thrilled with the 9 (versus 100+ of comparable cameras) autofocus points. I have upgraded to a different Canon within three months of my original purchase. If you’re looking to get into photography at a serious or even semi-serious level, unfortunately I honestly would not recommend this camera.

I purchased the Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Two Lens Kit last year for my son, and it has been one of the best investments I’ve made for his passion and education. He absolutely loves this camera. The image quality is crisp and clean, and the two included lenses (18–55mm and 75–300mm) give him everything he needs for both close-up shots and long-distance photography. Since getting this camera, his interest in his digital photo class has grown tremendously. He’s become more confident, more creative, and more excited about pursuing photography long-term. The T7 has been easy enough for him to learn on, but powerful enough for him to continue improving his skills without feeling limited. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality camera kit for a beginner or young photographer, I highly recommend this one. It has truly helped my son level up his work and deepen his love for photography.

I may have a problem with the telephoto lens 75-300mm. Not getting the sharpness my old lens / camera produced. There is a color distortion, creating a double image around subject at 300mm. Please advise.

The Canon EOS Rebel T7 is a solid entry-level DSLR that appeals to both novice photographers and those looking to elevate their photography skills. With a 24.1-megapixel APS-C sensor, it delivers impressive image quality, capturing vibrant colors and sharp details. One of the standout features of the T7 is its user-friendly interface, making it easy for beginners to navigate through settings and modes. The built-in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity allow for convenient sharing of images to smartphones and tablets, which is a great addition for those who want to post their photos quickly on social media. The camera also offers a 9-point autofocus system, which, while basic compared to higher-end models, does a decent job in most shooting conditions. However, in low-light situations, you might find it struggles a bit, and the performance can lag when tracking fast-moving subjects. The 3-inch LCD screen is bright and clear, but it's fixed, so there's no option for tilting or articulating it, which may limit creativity during shooting from different angles. Battery life is commendable, allowing for a full day of shooting without needing a recharge. Overall, the Canon EOS Rebel T7 is a well-rounded camera for beginners, providing a good balance of features, image quality, and ease of use. While it may not have all the bells and whistles of more advanced models, it serves as a reliable tool for those looking to dive into the world of photography.

Coming from the Rebel T5, this is a massive improvement. The Camera feels much much more skookum. To add to that but the battery life and overall picture quality is better than I had hoped for. The T7 definitely rivals my Nikon which costs about $150 more (for just the base which didn't include a 55mm AND a 300mm lens). Would recommend it to anyone needing a AWESOME point and shoot camera. Very easy to use for beginners and some advanced features that others may enjoy.

I’ve only had the Canon EOS R7 for a couple of days, but it’s already made a strong impression on me. I’ve been using it with my 300 mm lens, and the combination feels solid right out of the box. The 32.5 MP APS-C sensor puts out clean, detailed photos, and the extra reach from the crop factor actually helps when I’m zoomed all the way in. Even in the short time I’ve had it, the in-body stabilization has stood out. With a long lens, camera shake is usually a problem, but the R7 keeps things steady enough that I can shoot handheld without feeling like I’m risking blurry shots. The autofocus has also been quick and accurate, which makes things easier when I’m trying to keep up with moving subjects. The speed is another thing I noticed right away. The camera can hit 15 fps with the mechanical shutter and up to 30 fps electronically. For capturing action or wildlife, that rapid burst rate already feels like a big upgrade. I also tried out some quick video clips, and the 4K at 60 fps looks smooth and sharp. For the price, I can see why the R7 gets compared so favorably to other cameras in its class. It offers features you’d usually find on more expensive models, especially the stabilization, the high-resolution sensor, and the fast shooting speeds. Even after only a couple of days, I feel like I’m getting strong value from it. If there’s anything I’ve noticed so far, it’s that APS-C cameras aren’t as strong in low light as full-frame options, and the RF lens lineup still has some gaps. But neither of those has taken away from the overall experience. Overall, even with just a few days of use, I’m impressed. The Canon EOS R7 paired with my 300 mm lens has already proven to be fast, steady, and capable, and I’m looking forward to seeing what it can do once I’ve had more time with it.

Pretty good photos, I got this camera right before a trip to Alaska and it did what I wanted. Still learning all the functions but I really got the hang of the presets on the selector on top of the camera. I took over 600 pictures before needing to swap out the battery so I think the battery that comes with it is good enough for the most part. Swapping the lenses was the only part I felt iffy about, they need to provide a way to attach the plastic caps to the lens so when swapping your not dropping the cap on the ground. Other than that it was a good camera
