My first expensive to me camera and I love it. There are so many lens options for it. I have taken quite a few pictures and air show pictures and love it.

Wish I'd bought this Canon before I purchased my Lumix bridge camera. First time out, even my "crappy" test photos were better than the photos the Lumix produced at it's best. I did my research and chose this camera as my beginner for photography, since phone cameras are so limited when taking photos of the kids playing sports and special moments. You get tremendous value for this camera for the price.

This is not my first Canon DSLR camera, so I already knew the brand and quality I was getting. This is not a "beginner's camera," although some pundits would bill it as that. It's got a lot of perks for beginners, but a lot for the knowledgeable photographer also. When all is said and done, the camera body and lenses are *NOT* what make a good photograph - it's what you *DO* with the equipment and your creativity that's important. This camera can be that "means to an end" for your creativity without breaking the bank.
