    I bought this for myself. I buy my kids nice things and decided to splurge on myself. My daughter who is a specialist plans to teach me how to take great pictures. She is a bit jealous that it is mine but I reassured her I will share.

    Happy with the camera, my son is a photography major in high school leaving for college. This was one of his Christmas presents and he absolutely love it. He raves about the IOS and clearness of the picture and specs with this camera.

    This is a great beginner camera. You might want to buy the body only and research better lenses. The 18-55mm is not a good lens at all and the 75-300 is okay. Get the 50mm 1.8 and the zoom separately instead.

    I purchased the Canon camera to update from a point and shoot digital camera that served me for over ten years. After reading and watching YouTube videos, I decided to upgrade to this camera. Overall I am pleased with the purchase, but you must make up your mind to learn to shoot in the manual mode. Using the auto-mode strictly and depending on the camera, I felt the images were not as beautiful as my old point and shoot camera.
