Very easy to use. I'm having fun taking pictures of everything. I'm taking a photography course and I'm learning how to take even better photos. I'm loving my new hobby.

Good camera so far. Not so many bells and whistles as R but easy to use and lightweight. Excited to use with new RF lenses.

Don't fall prey to the Sony tax. This camera goes toe to toe with Sony cameras for a fraction of the cost. My wife is by no means a professional photographer but you wouldn't be able to tell when looking at the photos she takes with this camera.

    High Dynamic Range sucks

    Posted .

I have been an amateur photographer for the better part of 40 years. To begin with let me acknowledge that this camera is not a "pro" camera. I bought this camera because my EOS D70 stopped working one day. It was my daily driver so to speak and I have multiple cameras. At this point in my life I did not need anything fancy as Im slowing down (photography wise) and wanted a smaller mirrorless camera to take on trips. Couldn't be more unhappy with the shots. The High Dynamic range sucks with most of my shots having the shadows indiscernible and not recoverable in Photoshop. Flash photos with my old Speedlite 580 EX are fine, but honestly my iphone 14 promax takes just as good or better shots and the High Dynamic range is soooo much better. Spend a bit more and get a "real" DSLR or buy a much newer model as maybe by now they have figured out the HDR. Sharpness is also not as good as my Iphone promax14, but that may be a personal preference as some photographers don't like super sharp shots either.

I love this camera. This was my upgrade from a Rebel t4i. I’m not a professional by any means but this camera and the pictures it takes makes me feel like one. It has great clarity and low light levels. This camera was a little challenging to get used to compared to the simplicity of the rebel but now it is natural. I recommend spending time practicing at home before you go out and try to shoot something in action. Take time to learn the controls if you are making a big shift like I did. This camera doesn’t have the bells and whistles of a much more expensive model but it makes a perfect camera for a passionate amateur like myself. Skip if you are a pro but great for hobbyist looking to upgrade.

The best for portraits! Going mirrorless was the beat choice I did. I do both portrait and wedding events and this camera worked amazing! I do recommend buying separate lenses to get that bokeh effect.

Bought this camera as an upgrade from our smartphones. We were basically looking for a good all around camera for family portraits, landscape and travel shots, and some video. It exceeds all expectations. And we got it at a fairly decent price on sale too. Win-Win.

Love this the camera! I’m new to digital photography and the mirrorless, full frame cameras, but the user guide and online help...it was easy to get started. I love the picture quality and the lens that came with it is not bad at all. A lot of camera for the price!

GREAT CAMERA! I'm still learning how to use a dslr camera. This is my first swappable lens camera. The manual is easy to read and so far I'm really happy with the performance. Especially the 4K video.

Took a while to get this camera, but once I got it, that camera is amazing. Great light build. Great start if you want to get into a mirrorless camera. Feels and looks great. I would recommend getting more lenses for it. Good value for what you get.
