Great upgrade from old Canon Powershot

The new camera has a smaller battery though they looked the same online and the battery life is already shorter than the last camera. 2 weeks vs. 2 months. I take many many pictures.

I dropped it and the camera still works fine. I work in a factory with a lot of dirt. Camera functions fine. Been using it over a month now.

Great for the non techie type

I was on vacation & my camera quite, unexpectedly of course, so I was not happy about the additional expense. Once I started using it I was amazed & so happy with it's performance.

so far so good-easy enough for an 8 year old

Having a battery charger instead of replacing batteries is a huge plus for parents and much less frustrating for the child.

Great camera for beginners

I went looking for a digital that would be exactly what it says- point and shoot. This does the trick. I am not fond of the shutter speed, but for its price it is an excellent value and the images are as perfect as expected from Canon.

Versatile camera

I had it on my recent vacation along with my Digital Rebel, and for this being a fixed lens, it came very close to matching the quality and versatility of the SLR.
