This is our second. We loved the first one. The lens mechanism malfunctioned after 6 years, which I found fair. The new one is in all outward respects identical. I hope to be as happy with it as with the first, but we need to exchange due to a manufacturing defect. There is a bit of debris inside the lens mechanism that shows up on all pictures. Hope the exchange process is smooth, as I really like the camera for performance and convenience.

am still trying to figure out how to use some of the features of this camera. should be more simplified directions on the different features.

camera was easy to use but something happened to the zoom after less then a half of hour of total use.

Although this camera is a little small the price is right and the quality of the photographs is excellent. I would buy this camera again.

Canon introduced the Elf years ago; and it was always the best in it's class above Fuji, Nikon, Leica and Pentax small cameras. This model disappointed me, and I not sure what it is useful for, if you have a smart phone. Larger SLR and digital cameras and lenses are large so that they can gather the light and deliver sharper pictures. This camera is small; and the picture quality is really compromised, more so than I expected.

I bought this camera to replace my Nikon Cool pix so i can take pictures in my classroom. I am a Texas teacher and like to catalog and my accomplishments as well as my students accomplishments.

It is a very nice camera that comes with no memory to speak of. The extra memory is not too expensive but makes the camera not cheap.

We used this camera on vacation in New York City and were able to get many great shots even in crowded areas

Not a bad compact easy to carry and use camera. The photos are fair but not always great.

We purchase for my daughter. She is learning it and it appears to be very good gor beginner. Just got it so will know more soon

I recommend this camera to anyone. Ive had it for a fewweeks and so far I am definitely satisfied. It has exceeded my expectations plus it comes with an automatic one year warranty.

This is a great first camera or even an only camera. It was purchased as a gift for a family member and they are quite happy with it.

Picture quality was average and I didnt like the images specially at low light.

Took this to Thailand and it held up great. Quick startup and easy to use.

We liked the compact size and features of this camera. Unfortunately, some areas of many of the photos were slightly out of focus. This was most notable along the edge of objects. We returned the camera within the 15-day evaluation grace period.

The lighting adjusts automatically, so you don't need to mess with any settings and your pictures come out great and clear,

good camera. faster than my last Canon. Easy to use controls. Great indoors. Unbelieveably poor screen in sunlight - and no viewfinder to fall back on. Is this intended to be a cloudy day/indoor camera? Unfortunately , I did not discover this until I was already gone on my vacation to sunny desert areas.
