A decent camera for the money but with all the phone camers it is difficult to justify this anymore.

Had trouble programming the crockpot and thought it was me till I had two other people try to no avail.

The Canon Elph power shot is a good camera, however, the one feature it does not have is zoom and crop.

The camera is ok, doesn't auto focus that well, but it gets the job done.

Needed it for work and recreation. Gives an adequate picture.

This is my second Canon power shot camera in 10 years of heavy use. Small enough to just put in my pocket and therefor no need to drag around in a bag. Love the features and takes great photos. I chose the 170 as I just don't need all that many features and the cost was defiantly within my budget. Would have liked the cable included in the package as the old one was. That's the only reason for a 4 star rating.

Loved the color but when I got home I was trying to use it to take pictures and down load them on my Mac so I could list them on eBay and things just didn't run smoothly

This camera took great pictures but would not let me re-charge the battery. Returned for a refund.

Really smooth and easy to use. High megapixel and easy to carry around.

First I did not purchase this from Best Buy because they were not open and I was in a hurry. Another store was open (before 10 am) so they ended up getting my business. I was able to get this camera for the same price as BB but at this store it came with a case and SD card. So some savings there. This camera is exactly what you'd expect for one priced as such. If you expect the performance of a $500+ camera, you'll be disappointed but it does the job for what I am paying for... a simple, point and shoot camera with a fair zoom and decent image. Good camera for the money for sure!

easy to use and down load pictures takes a good picture This was a Christmas gift for my wife, she really enjoys using it.

Great little camera, photos are quality enough for my school newspaper and it has decent range, Only annoying this is the SD cart slot is right beneath the battery and sometimes you have to pop them both out if you just want one.

Bought this camera for an upcoming vacation, took mostly landscape photos. Easy to use, good quality photos.

This is a nice compact camera. It takes nice pictures in low light. It has a decent zoom for a small camera. You can't go wrong when you buy this camera!

The pictures are OK, but I could not view the video (movie) outside the Cannon program. The manual provided a web site to download a different program (I assumed similar to windows media player) that would allow the user to view Cannon video file formats. The download loaded 7 or more useless programs and malware to my computer (it took me about 4 hours to remove everything and clean my computer). I returned the camera and will never use Cannon.

Wish it was a little more rugged. The lens motor is sensitive to minor dings. But then this is very close to a disposable camera. I would recommend this camera for people that need a simple point and shoot but with no expectations beyond that, simple.
