Bad Camera
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The clip that holds memory card in place is poor quality and breaks very easily. Camera is trash since won't hold memory card in. This is waste of money. Cannon should not put out junk like this, very disappointing.

It works
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its ok for a starter camera. But you can take better photos /videos on a smart phone. For me it serves its purpose

Nice Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera works fine when you’re outdoors, but not so great in low light areas. The zoom is only 8x and I needed something with 25x minimum.

Outdated Technology
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tried this camera in a bunch of settings. I figured in 2019 with cell phone cameras being as good as they are, a camera, meant to take photographs, even at a Lowe price point would at least have similar quality to my 3 year old iPhone. Not the case. This camera has a slow shutter speed and makes the photos blurry. Especially inside, photographing children or pets is nearly impossible to get a good photo. Outdoor photos come out white washed. Even in outdoor shade during daylight the photos are too blown out with light to be any good. There are settings to update ISO and other quick settings, but by the time you switch it, the opportunity is missed. If you are choosing this camera, for the price point, you are better off just upgrading your cell phone as a snap and shoot camera. If you want to take good photos with a camera, spend just a little more and get a camera with faster, newer technology.

Not recommended
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To charge the camera, you have to remove the battery from the camera and install it in an adapter. To download pics, you have to remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into your computer. Would be much better if both could be achieved through a cable, which this camera does not have.

Hard to work with small camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous cameras were DSLR, so using smaller camera took some time to adjust. The glare back was also a minus.

Easy to use.Quality issues.clicking noise in video
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Canon Powershots before because they are very easy to use and take nice pictures. This one however makes a "clicking" noise that when I brought back to Best buy, the tech squad told me was "normal"....it is NOT....I discovered a few months later when you are in video mode, you don't hear what you are videoing, you hear the "clicking noise" . Something is very wrong and now I'm out of the "return policy" with best buy and need to return the camera under the 1 year warranty which means I'll be camera-less indefinitely...so frustrating.

Poor to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very limited. Camera does not plug in to recharge. Battery must be removed and does not hold charge well. Will not transfer photos to my computer. Cable had to be ordered was incompatible with others I had, I have been unable to load pictures on my computer, which is why I bought it. Camera is uncomfortably small. I had a Samsung which lasted for years and was easy to use. I want to return the Canon but can't get anyone on the phone and I can't go into the store because I am a high risk if I get Covid. I am stuck. Camera is not user friendly and cost more than the excellent Samsung, which is no longer made. I do not recommend this Canon.
