Amazing camera for beginners! Highly recommend......

This camera is not bad, but I think it doesn’t justify the price. I’m a photographer and use professional cameras, I was looking for something compact that I can take on vacations without carrying the big bulky cameras. This camera performs well during daylight, but it suffers a lot at night. I tried to get creative with the integrated flash but the results were still poor. If you’re expectations are not high you will be ok with the picture quality, but at the price paying I would probably consider other options. I ended up returning the product.

Ordered this camera on April 4th and it said it would be here by April 8th and I ordered it for my vacation which I leave for on the 13th and it’s still showing that its in Memphis TN and was at the Texas distribution center for more than 4-5 days and now its been in Memphis TN for two days. I am writing this review for the people that are thinking about ordering it, to just know that the delivery tomes for this product is WAYYYYYYY off, be prepared to receive it 1-2 weeks later. This is the slowest delivery i’ve ever had, and the estimate is VERY INCORRECT.

I love this camera. Like others have said, the auto focus isn’t the best, but the other things make up for it. It has really good stabilization when shooting video, much better battery life than the Sony ZV-1, and I love the screen being above the camera instead of to the side.

Overpriced I don’t know why Jumbo Buys has the price inflated! You cannot price match with products sold by Jumbo Buys despite Best Buy honoring price matches. I was very disappointed about that.

Regret buying. We had the G7X Mark ii before this, but it had broken and this is the only model that Best Buy had in stock. It takes absolutely forever to focus and it glitches all the time. I looked up other reviews and everybody else had the same issue. Not sure what to do at this point, and also not sure why it’s so much more expensive than the last model when it’s not as great. Do not recommend

Got F1.8 in a point and shoot camera it Is really necessary when you are in low light situation, most of the cameras in this segment will give you F2.8, F3.2 or worst F3.5, which will result in a really Noise footage.

Have had the power shot G7x for about a month now. I use this camera for travel, concerts, and selfies with my friends. Perfect built in flash and easy to use.

Nice photos but when blown up to a viewing size, there's this line going vertically down the middle. Right down the middle. Gets bigger the more you blow it up. Viewed it on a 27 inch TV, line there but spread out. In star photo, on the 27 inch monitor, the line is like a straight cloud. From top to bottom. Bought it April 27th and return ended period ended June 11. I would have returned it 10 days ago, June 19, but since they said it was past the return date of June 11, I can't. Thought because I was an Elite Member I had more time. Wrong.

Best cannon camera ive ever owned awesome video resolution and playback flip up screen is so compact and a delight

Really great camera! Nice and light to carry around and shoot with. Love the touch screen on it. Needs a software update before use for video shooting focus.

Absolutely love! I love that this has a flash on it! I love the look of a flash at night or in darker photos! Would highly recommend!

Updated from my old Cannon G9, love the flip screen and the ability to use my phone as a remote with the Cannon App. This camera has so many different setting you should definitely take a look at the owner’s manual. So far pic quality has been great.

This is a great camera! Everything worked as expected! But the autofocus is not the best in the market.

Excellent and versatile camera, for any type of use outdoors or indoors, excellent for amateurs.

It’s a good camera to start vlogging sound is good

A little difficult to learn all the most useful settings. Will overheat if you try to record successive 4K vids without letting camera cool down for 5 min or so in between

I’ve owned several of these Canon cameras over the years and they never disappoint. Obviously cell phones take great pictures nowadays but you can’t beat the zoom this camera has. Very pleased with my purchase.

Great product unfortunately I learned the hard ways that Best Buy uses outside vendors and they don’t have the customers best interest in mind. I paid for a silver edition which was about $60 more than the black one yet the vendor only wanted to compensate me $20 so I was going to lose out on about $40 for a mistake they made.
