    Have enough functions I need to be a Vlogger . The built in mic is good enough that you dont need to purchase output mic . Nice , quality pic and video . I love it!

    No amount of fresh new features can hide the fact that the focus system is absolutely broken. I’m not even going to get into the cool new features. Canon has a lot of sponsored YouTubers that can show that stuff off. My opinion is based on the reality of actually using the camera. And it hasn’t been good. That focus complaint is real. The touchscreen focus is hit or miss. But the face detect focus is broken. Sometimes the white box does seem to identify faces but it just wont focus. I know the common complaint is that a 2020 camera should have Dual Pixel autofocus built in, but the bigger problem to me is that this seems like a focus downgrade from the previous model. I really like this camera so I’m tempted to stick with it and hope that a firmware upgrade is on its way. But then again, this is Canon and I’m just not sure when/if they’ll actually address the problem.

      FIRMWARE UPDATE Canon G7X Mark III Users: Canon has introduced a firmware update for the G7X Mark III, which addresses video autofocus speed, accuracy and subject detection. Please visit the product support page for the G7X Mark III on the Canon website, usa.canon.com, for download instructions.

Based on customer feedback we’ve received, we are taking the necessary steps to provide a firmware update that can help improve video autofocus speed, accuracy and subject detection performance. This update will be available through a free download from the Canon U.S.A. website at the end of October 2019.
