A no for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it because I really like the mark 2, however the auto focus on this was not great. I returned it and got the mark 2 instead.

Great idea but autofocus is horrible!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a dream camera based on its specs but the autofocus is worse than the Mark 2. I’m bummed I can’t return it now so selling it on Craigslist and buying the Sony Rx100 VII. UNLESS Canon release a firmware update that fixes it. So frustrating that canon didn’t test this more before launch. How do they make a newer camera with worse autofocus than the last version? Seems strange.

Not a Great Camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is just an okay and mediocre camera. It isn't useful for much honestly and you're better off going with the Mark II. Lots of youtube videos covering the issues so make sure to do your research before buying. The Canon M50 is even a better bet than this camera...

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera was greast but all of as sudden the lense don't close and best buy is not helping. No support. It's brand new bought in June but not gifted until October birthday. Just think it could have been better it is not as 100.00 camera. Disappointed.

Best camera ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon G7X Mark III is hands down the best camera I’ve ever used! The image quality is insanely crisp, even in low lighting, and the colors are so vibrant straight out of the camera. It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it perfect for vlogging or travel, but it still packs a powerful punch when it comes to performance. One of my favorite features is the flip-up screen—super helpful for selfies or recording content. The autofocus is fast and reliable, and the built-in mic is surprisingly good (plus it has a mic input if you want to level up your audio). The 4K video quality is beautiful, and the ability to live stream directly is a huge bonus. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, this camera is a total game changer. Canon really nailed it with this one!

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.IT DOES NOT FOCUS FOR LONG. It is so frustrating, and Best Buy charges a restocking fee so be careful buying this.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible customer service. Could not get product ship, could not get refund, store personnel were incompetent, this took one month with ultimate requirement for a Visa dispute. Best buy failed me.

Terrible Autofocus
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So disappointed the autofocus was terrible, I’m a long time Canon user and owned and sold the Canon G7x II to purchase this camera. I returned the G7xIII and now I’m left with no cameras and a decision to make.

Horrible Autofocus
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera has to be one of the worse cameras with auto focus. It’s useless when you are trying to film on the go so it’s not really a “point and shoot” camera.

My absolute favorite
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a canon fan for years and this is my sixth canon camera, my g7x mark ii has been my absolute favorite camera I own for a couple years now. When I found out this Mark iii was coming out and read about the upgrades it was given I was thrilled. I always tell people my g7x is my dlsr quality camera in a point and shoot size and it is true, it has been the only camera I take with me on trips now, and it is small enough to get into concerts with, giving me ridiculously great concert photos and videos every time. Once I got this camera in my hands I saw the physical changes that I was glad canon made on this Mark iii, the slightly lighter weight, even thinner screen, and improved hand/thumb grips. I have never once been disappointed by the quality of my photos and videos from my Mark ii, it is my preferred camera over my t5i and there is absolutely no question that the photos and videos from the mark ii to the t5i are on a whole different level of quality. However, it amazes me that with the mark iii and its 4k video capabilities and its image stabilizer, that quality I have come to know and love is now even better. I have taken quite a few videos for comparison and the difference between 4k and 1080p is not as drastic of an improvement as I was hoping for but it is still unbelievably high quality. The g7x mark iii seems to do just as well in low light conditions as had the mark ii. That was something that has always impressed me from the g7x camera is how well it exceeded in low light conditions, it has never been something I had to worry about. I mentioned the screen being even thinner now and it is the best camera screen I have ever worked with. Not only is it massive, but its touch sensitivity is nearly cell phone quality. The image quality of the screen also exceeds expectations, I've had many cameras where when looking at my photos or videos on camera the quality was just lacking but when looked at on a computer they were fine. However this display quality of the g7x mark ii and iii is so good, I get so excited about my photos before I even import/edit them because I can see how great the quality already is. I think it has also helped me take better photos as well, it is easier to make adjustments to your photo taking when you have a high quality and accurate display to go off of. Aside from the quality of the screen, the adjustable/multi angle function has been a lifesaver many times already. I am pretty short and when at concerts or sporting events I always have to put my arms up in the air to get photos or videos, with the ability to angle the screen down towards me, it means I don't have to hope I'm getting the frame I want. I've also had many situations where my g7x was on a tripod at about chest height and instead of bending down to see my display, I can simply angle it up and be very comfortable while working with the camera. The multi angle screen function was something I never really thought I'd use but once I realized how useful it is, I regularly use it. Another function that is very useful is the wifi and/or bluetooth connection. It is again one of those abilities I never really felt I needed, until it was there for me to use and now I couldn't imagine not having it. The connecting via wifi is very useful when it works, I've noticed on my mark ii connecting was usually pretty finicky but I've been working a lot with the mark iii instead and it seems to be just as finicky. When it does work, it works great, however it is getting the initial connection to happen seems to be a struggle on both models. My one and only complaint about this g7x mark iii camera is the menu/user interface got more complicated. Luckily it looks pretty much the same and if you are familiar with the canon interface you will be able to jump right into this one. However the menu got more cluttered on this model and for example the time lapse function is way more complicated to use now on the mark iii than the mark ii is. As someone who loves time lapses I was disappointed to see how much digging in menus and buttons and screen touching has to be done to start a time lapse. On my mark ii, it is about 2-3 clicks and its recording and it is easy to start another one right away. On the new model, time lapse function always defaults at disabled when the camera is first turned on and again after a time lapse has been created. You first have to go into the menu, enable the time lapse function again, then set your settings, then click the record button, then click the shutter button. I don't understand why the ability to take a time lapse had to be so buried in the menus, I was upset I even had to research how to make a time lapse on the mark iii because on the mark ii it is so simple and easy to get to. Hopefully this is something canon can change with software updates? Other than the more cluttered interface and menu options, I have zero complaints about this camera and I highly recommend it to anyone at any photography skill level. As someone who takes photography classes and does photography jobs on the side, I never thought I'd prefer a smaller camera over my dlsr camera but my g7x changed that for me, its versatility is unmatched and the quality it brings is well worth the price.
