||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had 3 previous Canons and really love this camera. Lightweight, fast shutter, big display and posts to FB. Took alittle bit to set up cell phone but was worth it. No more cords and downloads!

Needed a new charger for my Mac Pro laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had my Mac Pro about 5 years and use it daily. Few days ago I was not able to charge the laptop. Staff at Best Buy were very helpful and courteous in all departments to assist me in making this purchase, including renewing my Best Buy credit card.

My grandson loves his camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only did I buy a camera for my grandson but the team checked my hard drive and tuned it up. I flooded!!! Bought monitor, keyboard, mouse, Cannon printer/copier, ink, paper. Your representative was most helpful as were the technicians. Keep it up!

Good camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice camera but had battery issue in the first month. Best buy exchanged camera but stated its a favor by best buy that they are exchanging it. Recommended buying geek squad coverage to address those issues however did not provide any clear difference or benefits of it over manufacturers warranty.

Pretty Freaking Good for a first DSLR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic piece of machinery that whirs as it is on. That is just how well made it is. Because this is my first camera, I had nothing in my expectations of this camera except for pretty good quality pictures. Now I will make life simple and start with the pros: ________ Good Stuff: - This camera has a wide range of options and filters to play around with including the fish-eye and miniature effects. You will definatley see yourself testing out exactly how to make use of these filters. - the different modes of shot composition are also another thing to explore with this camera and a good experience make in point and shoot photos allowing for adjustment of your apecture, exposure, and shutter speed. - Love the wi-fi connectivity that comes along with the camera. Makes connecting to various computers and phones easy, especially if your a person without the correct connection cords and SD card ports. -Takes pretty impressive video and works beautifully in the day time for both photos and videos. - Rechargable battery has to be one of the best and time saving aspects of the camera (unless all DSLRs come with that, I don't really know since it is my first one and I had no expectations) - The sound recording on the camera is decent but hey, a camera is meant to primarily capture visuals, not audio. - Zooming is something that you will love on this camera. i got to take a picture of the oon in detail for the first time. Freaking awesome and you should try it. - Speaking of the battery again, pretty generous life span it has before needing another charge _______ Bad Stuff: - Does not take very good photos in low light with a great amount of grains on the image. Had a problem with that. - Sometimes videos, especially ones shot in the dark, will appear great on the camera during playback, but appear a lot darker when input to the computer causing misleading video capture - Generally speaking, the hd capture really only takes in the daytime. - Brightness of the LCD display is not really dynamic and will, if you are me, be too bright even in the lowest setting. I would advice not looking at the screen too long in low light. - Unfortunately, and I wish it did, but does not come with any connection cables or starter memory.( I guess you might not count this as a con just that I would have liked it to help me out a little being my and some others' first time) - Cannot conect to camera without wi-fi available which does pose a problem to me. Example--O-O--O-O--O-O--O-O--O-O--O-O--O-O--O Let is say you are outside far away from any connections, and your zoomed in on a far off object. (for me it was the moon) When zoomed in greatly slight movements can be the biggest pushes to shot. So even trying to push the button to take the shot, it will push to camera, pushes the shot, and having you use burst shots until you get the right one getting you to end up looking through 20 to 50 photos of the perfect one. . . ALLLLLLLL instead of being able to hook it up to your phone and press a button to take the photo. I don't really know if techonology is there yet, though it was, but hey. Conlusion------ I am probably not remembering everything, but this camera is amazing and it is worth the buy. Enjoy yourselves with this thing. Just make sure to grab some memory before you starting flinging it around.

To much to learn ...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shooting a program. Then reviewing the volume is not high...yes I did increased it when I programmed it from the menu. It's to bad can't place a filter on the lens or a lens cover. Other than that it's a nice camera .

Happy wife, happy life
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t say much about the specs for this camera but I got it for my wife for her birthday and it looks like one of the best gifts I ever got her. No complaints with how it works and she’s very happy with it.

Blurry screen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera took good pictures but the screen to look at when taking pictures was blurry so I couldn't see the object before I took the pics. It didn't focus that great.

Great for Beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 12 year old daughter loves being able to use a "real" camera to take high quality shots for both personal use and her school yearbook. She quickly learned how to use the dials and can get great action and still shots. Easy to use, Great pictures.

Beginner camera.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera for my 15 year old daughter for Christmas. She really wanted the 20 meg pixel one but it was out of my price range. It is a better camera if you can afford it. But this is a good starter camera.

Fun, functional but basic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good camera for someone moving from strictly “point and shoot” to something slightly more advanced and with broader options. Lightweight, good screen and has options to set own f stop, shutter speed and more.

It was a gift and he loved it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great camera for someone who wants to learn more about photography. My son got it for Christmas and has had a great time exploring with lighting and angles and such. He actually had a friend "hire" him to do his senior picture! Love it.

Would be a great camera with a viewfinder.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed that you cannot see the LCD outdoors in the sun. Otherwise it would take sharp photos, although it had difficulty focusing. I returned it and will most likely step up to a Sony a6300 mirrorless.

Sharp pictures, but heavy and bulky
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is heavy and bulky and it is not so easy to make quality videos with it without shaking. You really need to stand very still and not move at all or the videos will be blurry. It has a good grip though. One thing that bothers me most is that the zoom is only halfway usable as it becomes extremely blurry when you zoom all the way in to the point where you can't even recognize anything. I am estimating that 25x zoom is all you get out of it. I had a very small, but powerful canon before, that was easy to hold with one hand, and you never got blurry videos. I wish I could go back to it.

Great value for a beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Daughter bought with her own babysitter money. Needed for a college class. Had everything she needed and a little more than class requirements. Still had enough value to resell when she completed the class
