I WAS LOOKING TO "MODERNIZE " & WANTED A NEW DIGITAL CAMERA. THE CANON IS GOOD, COMPACT & HAS LOTS OF DIFFERENT SETTINGS, SO YOU CAN DO MUCH MORE THAN JUST TAKE STILL PIX. I WOULD HAVE GIVEN IT 5 STARS, BUT I HAD TROUBLE ATTACHING THE NECK STRAP (PRE- ARTHRITIC FINGERS & A VERY SMALL SLOT.) :( ALL IN ALL A REALLY GOOD CAMERA !

This was my son's first camera. He purchased by mowing lawns to earn the money. He loves attending car shows and taking pictures and vlogging about the cars he spots. The app available for the camera makes it easy to transfer pics via wifi. Nice camera. Thanks Canon.

Bought this as a Christmas gift. Great beginner camera to learn digital photography. Nice weight and plenty of features to get started without spending a fortune.

This camera is easy to use. Takes great pictures and really nice zoom. Best to use zoom with a tripod for steadiness. Light weight and over all very impressed.

I bought a couple of these for my kids that are interested in playing in photography. After receiving them, we found that this camera takes as good of pictures as my wife’s high end camera. The build quality is what you pay for. But, the pictures are stellar.

Im a huge Nikon fan when it comes to dslrs. When it comes to point and shoot cameras canon does great. I got this camera because my other point and shoot camera broke and this one is a step into dslrs. Its a great price too. I had it for a while then got bored with it. You are able to take great pictures of the moon and outside pictures are good too. But when it comes down to it this camera will only be great for a little bit and you will want and need more in a camera. I recently got a nikon d5300 and its the best investment i have made its easy to use and still have a lot to learn and definitely wont get bored with it for a long time. If you are just looking to take simple photos this is the camera for you. But if you're looking for something that will produce great photos and will keep you interested in learning more go for the d5300

I purchased this camera some time ago. I love how easy it is to operate. The zoom is adequate and the pictures are clear. I have never had any luck taking pictures with my phone, so I purchased this particularly for gardening shots. The disk allows me to put pictures on my computer. I am very happy with this camera. There is only one negative about it. It is heavy and odd shaped in today's market. It would need a special case and it wouldn't fit into a pocket or a purse (unless the purse was large). It does have a wall charger for the battery.

works great with fast action shots, such as sports. (reason for purchase) Captured my sons football games. video quality & photo quality are great!! clear images and colors.

Until now I'm very satisfied with this camera, what I saw in the description of the product is what I got. Hopefully this great camera continues working as well in the future. I have shot some pictures and the quality is awesome. I even used the video and I'm also convinced.

I have always had a canon camera and this one is great! Great zoom for taking our kids photos during sporting events!

This camera is loaded with features and easy to use for a beginner. The built-in WIFI make it easy to transfer and share photos especially while traveling.

I love the fact that this point and shoot camera also has some manual capabilities as well. The zoom is amazing! I can get a a great shot of a bird high up in a tree and have it as sharp & clear as can be! I’m very happy with my purchase!

The biggest reason for choosing a PowerShot is possibly the powerful zoom at a reasonable price. The zoom is great (50x, optical), and I've used it successfully in sports and nature shots, for example. The handling of this camera, though, is less satisfactory than previous PowerShot models. It feels light and a little too plastic, so less sturdy and resilient than before. The price point is good, but given the slightly cheap feel, I'd be tempted next time to go for the full DSLR rather than a compromise camera like this.

Bought this camera for my daughter who is taking photography classes at school. The camera takes great pictures and is very easy to use. She hasn't had it long enough to appreciate all its features but so far we are very pleased. Canon makes a great product!!

Great little camera for the price. Has a lot of nice features such as WiFi and being able to use your phone to control the camera for remote picture taking.
