Good camera for beginners

Without any reading of the manual she learned pretty quick about the different features. We did have a problem with the glare of the sun off the water. But overall it's a good camera for the price.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this camera to replace a 50X Canon SX50HS camera that failed just before my Geek Squad 3 year warranty expired. The SX530 HS takes good photos and has a 50X zoom like the SX50HS, but I really miss having a viewfinder and the swivel display that it had. In bright sunlight it is very difficult to see the display to focus. Also the SX530 HS has a much smaller and lower capacity battery, so I had to purchase spare batteries to enable taking hundreds of photos in a day while on vacation.

Great pictures of an outdoor event

Got great pictures in bright sunshine and even better ones at night with fireworks. Light weight, easy to handle and great zooming capabilities. Very happy with my purchase.

Great basics and good additional features

Superzoom is great, as is the built-in wifi connectivity. Haven't printed yet, but photo quality seems solid. Well balanced and comfortable to use. Overall, suits my needs to a tee!
