Having had the original PowerShot series, this camera has come a long way, yet not changed at all. Starting with the weight and ergonomics, the body is still made out of plastic but doesn't feel cheaply manufactured. The optics are great and at length, even with digital zoom, the images are usable. Onboard flash is bright enough to illuminate the field as well as modeling flash to assist focus. Menu is just as it has been save more features and better navigation. One feature of note is the wireless capability. The wireless interface works between the camera and free downloaded app. Once the app is downloaded you connect the camera via Wifi and then launch the app, the camera is found and once the app locks on the camera, it just works, fast and reliably. Images can be filtered through and downloaded directly to your phone in full resolution and not a low res preview. I know this is nothing new but coming from a system that can be finicky in basically unsupported, this simple wireless system is very appreciated. If you're on the fence between this system and another system, and you want to set your camera on auto and get great exposures this one is a great entry level system to get.

Still fairly compact for a point-and-shoot camera with long-zoom lens, and probably more than adequate vs. more expensive DSLR's for the average enthusiast.

It's not too fancy but takes amazing pictures. Very easy to get started and the ability to upload pictures to Wi-Fi connected camera is pretty cool.

Great Camera and cost is reasonable!! I wish I knew what everything did (I know I’m not using Camera to its fullest potential)....but it does its job for my kids events!!

This is not the camera I wished to have, but you would not take this back as it was over 15 days. I purchased this camera on 07/25/16 before going on vacation for a week to Door Co., WI, but did not use it once.I have now used it twice. It works great for point and shoot on auto. I have not tried many of the other settings for manual. I will be using it on another vacation and am eager to try other settings. I need a new computer, but am not purchasing it yet as I would not know if it worked withing the required 15 days! What a ridiculous policy! 30 days is the usual date for return when I purchase things. I might not even have a computer set up in 15 days! 10-11-16

Bought this camera to replace old digital Canon which was no longer working up to par. The 530 is very easy to use and has more features than I will probably ever use. Excellent in low light environment, and taking "blur-free" pictures while riding in a moving bus!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my parents as their current camera is past its prime. I opted to go for the larger body style in hopes that it would be easier for older hands to manage. The camera focuses quickly and with a high end memory card, records quickly as well.

Beautiful clear pictures with an easy to use camera. Telephoto lens lets you get clear action shots or normal shots from a distance. Many options to use to get the shot you're looking for.

It takes great pictures and is easy to use. I bought it for my husband for when we go to Hawaii and can’t wait for beautiful pictures.

Bought this for my 11-year-old daughter to use for her school's photography club. I also looked at a Nikon cool pix which is what the school bought for the club to use. I have several Canon high end dslr cameras so I'm familiar with the brand. I went with this one over the Nikon as it has more control over the settings. The trade-off was no flip screen which isn't that big of a deal. Nikon may be more user friendly, but I want my daughter to learn how to use the sethings and not rely on preprogrammed ones. Also, if she inherits my cameras, she'll know how to use them.

This was a gift. Easy to use for someone just learning. Takes great pics. The new learner can slowly incorporate all the additional functions at their pace.
