Worried about being to far away? Not with this camera. I was very impressed with the zoom lens. I got great distance shots that I was even able to pull in even tighter to capture the most amazing looking closeups with clear detail. Easy to use. Just pick up and shoot! I haven't sat down with the book yet to see how much more it can do. Thanks Cannon, did I say I don't miss the Sony brand I have always purchased in the past?

This camera has blown me away. If you are looking for a camera to take pictures quickly like point and shoot yet still want the ability to zoom closer this camera is for you. If you are looking for a camera that allows you to control shutter and focus and zoom up to 50x optical and change amount of light in your shots iso 100-6400 and still pay less than $300 than this camera is 4 you. Did I mention the camera has WiFi capability so you can transfer your foots and videos to your cell phone and laptop wirelessly?! Also has an app you can use your phone to control your camera hands free and take pictures! That's one of my favorite features on this camera. I have had it for 5 months now and still works great. It uses a rechargeable battery, and comes with its own charger. Battery life is really good and charge time is not long. This camera is a bridge between a point and shoot camera and an expensive slr camera that professionals use. For the price and all of the options that this camera has and the quality of the photos one can take, I highly recommend this camera to evetyone, looking to start photography hobby or wanting more than what you get from your cell phone camera.

My photos taken at the football game are not photo clear images compared to day time images.

I bought the camera for my trip to Alaska. I spent a day playing with it to make sure I would know how to take pictures. My pictures were great. I'm so glad I got the camera. I simpler camera or a phone would not have been able to get the close up shots that I took. The one thing to get use to is how to keep the camera from shaking as it is a little heavy. I used the straps all the time so that I knew I wouldn't drop it. I was not a regular picture take but I now what to learn more about the other functions on the camera and see what else I can do with it.
