I took it to the zoo the day after I got it and used the auto setting. I got amazing photos. The zoom is incredible. Great camera for a beginner that knows nothing about photography. You can still use it and get great photos while learning.

The shutter speed is good, images look great, and the zoom is awesome! She should be able to capture anything Alaska throws at her with this gift.

Good Entry Level Camera

This camera has a lot of manual features for her to explore different settings and effects, plus the zoom is excellent allowing for great nature shots. It is taking her awhile to learn the variety of features, but she is figuring it out.
