I don't know if the person receiving the camera has had an opportunity to try it out yet. My review of several cameras in the store suggested to me this was a great buy though. It seems to combine the technology of a single lense reflex camera with the ease of use of a digital phone camera.

Took it on my trip to Alaska and I have many beautiful pictures. The camera has a lot of options to use. I like the feature where you can take continues pictures with one click. I would like a bigger lines to take pictures that a farther away. But love the camera over all use.

As a beginner, this seems to be a great AND SOMEWHAT EASY TO USE CAMERA. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT I HAVE VISUAL PROBLEMS AND THE MANUAL IS IN SUCH small PRINT I CAN HARDLY READ IT. I CALLED AND ASKED FOR A LARGER PRINT ONE BUT THEY SENT ME ANOTHER WITH small PRINT BUT LARGER ICONS. I STILL CAN'T READ THE PRINT.

Not quite what I expected when starting to use it. It's not great for live photo shots at all, it takes to long to focuse and shutter speed is slow no matter which mode you have it on. Over not bad once you get use to it and you aren't doing live shots or just be ready to take a bunch of them.

Very easy to use, good zoom clear pictures good for beginners

The battery instructions were easy to follow to get started. The very first set of pictures I took were unbelievably clear.

This is a great upgrade from the canon powershot we have. Wish it had more options for the choice of color accent.

We wanted action shots for sporting events. Most of them turn out blurred in the images. The zoom isn't bad but it doesn't matter if the object is moving. It's a nice camera if specifics aren't important to and just to have for amateur photography.

We were on a safari in South Africa and the pictures this camera took were of excellent quality. Some of the animal images are amazing. I was able to zoom in on so many of them. The only problem I had was when I didn't let the camera auto adjust and the picture became blurry. Not the camera's fault...but mine!

Bought it for my teenage daughter who is interested in photography. Easy to use it and she loves it

My sister purchased this and likes it very much. Replaced an old Nikon DSLR.

My granddaughter asked for a camera for Xmas. She wants to move beyond using her phone. I can't wait to help her learn about photography. She'll be able to use this camera from day one and use it on her upcoming vacation. I'm sure this camera will be excellent for getting the pictures she wants and for improving her skills along the way.

Bought this for my birthday for an upcoming trip and the photo outcomes are beyond amazing. Shocked how the photos looked so professional (mind you that I'm just a person that clicks the button like any other person would). Going to buy for my mom next. Money was not wasted. So happy.

the tech was very good,.I did not know anything about cameras but he helped me choose the perfect camera for me.

Although this camera was excellent for picture taking, I did return product because we thought it was to much for our simpler needs. I would recommend anyone getting this camera to read ALL the information and play with it to understand all of it's capabilities before just taking it to shoot pictures.

Every once in a while you want an easy to use quick shoot camera without all the bells and whistles to get those special moments pictures, that give better than cell phone quality. Here's your answer. Not too expensive for what it offers either. Easy to handle and comes with the usual Canon quality.

This is a good starter camera to a person who wants to learn how to shoot. It's a lot more complex since you can change different setting and it affects how good the shots come out. Definitely recommend to young folks who want to see what taking pictures is about

I will recommend this camera to my friends. price is very cheap when compared to and the quality.

We bought this camera to replace a point and shoot that was tough to get really good photos with. The canon powers hot sx530 takes awesome photos and we love the ability to use an iPhone to take the picture. We get really clear photos using this on a tripod. Very, very nice camera. Well worth the price.

Easy to use and lots of options. Good camera for the price.
