I have been a long time user of Canon cameras but this model disappoints me. Sometimes slow to focus, sometimes picks the wrong object to focus on (in auto mode, maybe a different shooting mode would e better) I haven’t found an option to require focus lock before releasing the shutter, and not many auto-detected scene modes. On the positive side, if you are careful in holding the camera steady and waiting for the camera to focus, it can take nice pictures, even at considerable subject distances and focal lengths.

Bought this as a gift for my wife and she loves it! Perfect for a person who loves taking photos but isn’t concerned with buying all the very expensive attachments for a different camera.

This Camera was bought for my vacation to the Grand Canyon and after using it for a few days to get use to it I can tell it is going to be prefect for my trip.

It's s good camera with a lot of good features ... I love the wifi connectivity to my phone for photo uploads to share on social media ... I wish the flash would pop up automatically on its own when in flash mode though.

I am very pleased with this camera so far. The 50x optical zoom is terrific. The video quality is outstanding as well. You will want a second battery if your are shooting photos all day.

The Powershot SX 530 is a great starter camera for someone with little to no photography experience. I purchased it for my 15 year old son who wants to learn photography.

My daughter has very much enjoyed this camera. She was even able to link it to her phone so she can print from phone to our printer and allow others to follow the action on their phone. Neat.

This was a gift for my wife. She loves it and can't wait for us to go on vacation and use. The camera seems easy to use but may still have refer to the manual since we haven't use it yet.
