I purchased this camera for a trip we were taking and wanted the ability to zoom in to subjects from longer range. I am extremely pleased with the camera and the photos taken with it.

Bought as a gift and haven’t given to the person yet.

It's s good camera with a lot of good features ... I love the wifi connectivity to my phone for photo uploads to share on social media ... I wish the flash would pop up automatically on its own when in flash mode though.

My daughter has very much enjoyed this camera. She was even able to link it to her phone so she can print from phone to our printer and allow others to follow the action on their phone. Neat.

I am very pleased with this camera so far. The 50x optical zoom is terrific. The video quality is outstanding as well. You will want a second battery if your are shooting photos all day.

The Powershot SX 530 is a great starter camera for someone with little to no photography experience. I purchased it for my 15 year old son who wants to learn photography.
